Hello 6G Community Finally accepted that my daily is to far gone for what I have time for. This is a 97 Limited Edition Hatchback with a 1.8L M/T and full GT brake conversion. If you know upstate NY you know of how salt will eat away cars, this one unfortunately is no exception. I went under it recently to find the rockers pretty much gone and a hole in the outside metal by where the wheel well is on the drivers side. The interior is intact like on my profile page and majority of the parts are usable for others in need of them. Feel free to message or comment any questions. https://hosting.photobucket.com/images/ah15...0910_184632.jpg https://hosting.photobucket.com/images/ah15...0910_184621.jpg https://hosting.photobucket.com/images/ah15...0910_184603.jpg |

Gas tank is done! New bracket and all new pipes installed. Next question, what catback exhaust options do I have? My stock catback was a casualty doing the fuel tank install and now I have a reason to upgrade my exhaust. Please let me know. You're going to find our celicas a very limited as far as this option. Aside from owning a Gt4 which you can find on Ebay for 250.00, there are a few Beams options that I've seen a few members here part with which with a little fabrication would work with a 5sfe. My own experience was sourcing a resonator and muffler and have a shop do a custom bend pipe and then weld everything together. If you aren't in for the performance look and just want a replacement, then check out rockauto. |

Well everyone... Been a long while since I ruffled anyones forum politics... So here we go. Topic of this being Tubular k-members and cross frames. Ok ok I know that there weren't many suspension mods given to the 6gens, aside from what Mike Thoma has installed on his ![]() If no such thing exists already, just a simple point in the right direction is what I'm looking for as far as fabrication needs go. What kind of metal, wall thickness of that metal and kind of bushings would be recommended for such a project. There are tubular frames out on the market for other vehicles... so why not ours right? Well here's to a nicely debated forum post. Thank you in advance everyone. |

Before we start yes I know it's a headache, yes I know it's dumb. Exactly what would I need to do to put a 7afe with C52 5speed into a GT, 5sfe based Celica? Im getting a really cheap GT Celica as my ST was wrecked and money is tight. The GT is an auto with engine issues. To convert it to manual with a 7afe, what needs to be done? Well to start with, you have both cars right? Simply take out everything to do with the 7afe out of the ST and transplant it into the GT. This isn't the hardest swap to do in the least, quite the contrary the only hard part is gonna be mounting the clutch pedal and master cylinder as you will have to drill and cut the firewall to mount them. Everything else is just take the engine and trans out, follow that up with the ECU and engine side harness. You'll need all the motor mounts and the axles from the ST as the GT ones will only mate up with the S54 trans. Slap a battery in there and off you go. |

You can also check out this site too, like Amayama.com except state side. Also noteable that this is for Stateside vehicle applications too, meaning unlike Amayama it will not give you the Corina, Curren or Corona Models, just what was importable to the states. https://parts.lakelandtoyota.com/p/TOYOTA_1...7720320220.html |

Have you taken a straight edge and made sure the pan isn't warped any? That and make sure the lip of the pan isn't puckered anywhere. I also want to say most Japanese cars had their oil pans sealed with some kind of RTV from the factory and didn't use a gasket. Something like Honda Bond or Toyota FIPG, typically. If you don't want to spend the obscene amount of money for those something like the Permatex Black is close enough, I think the regular series goes by optimum or optimal now since the Ultra series never wants to come off and is a bit overkill. You could go the route of permatex, but my luck with that is like using window caulk, Spend the 20 for a squeeze tube of Toyota FIPG, I haven't had a pan gasket fail on me yet after using it. On a side note if you dont ever want it to leak just get it welded on lol, jk jk |

Hello fellow 6gc fam, Been piecing together a RHD set up for a little while now... keyword little. If anyone has these parts that would save me some fabrication time and would rather go OEM anyways. Here's what I'm looking for: Firewall assembly, inside & outside (or if someone randomly has a front clip preferably) Under dash components - HVAC system, none of the venting but units mounted to the firewall Dash bar mount for the passenger side (left side) metal brackets for the bottom of the dash/panels located above the kick panels Have the rest of the set up, just looking for these odds and ends. If you are near by, which more thank likely not, let me know distance from 13045 and might just make a roadtrip out of it. Let me know, Thanks guys and gals. |

Here's where I get all my oem part numbers from, check the interchanges too cause more than likely these are not celica exclusive. http://parts.lakelandtoyota.com/showAssemb...trimLevel=18281 part # is 904670706622 and here is the interchange http://parts.lakelandtoyota.com/p/TOYOTA_1...4670706622.html Does anyone have a part number for the door push pins that go on the side opposite of the door hinge? |

My current problem is interior light issues this includes (courtesy, dome/ personal, and luggage lights, and clock not illimunating/ on. I found the 10a Dome light to be blown. Upoun replacing it was blown immediately. With some research on a digital copy of the tech manual (http://bgbonline.celicatech.com/6g/) I see that most of the dome fuse powers to J/B 1. I removed the kick panel to access J/B1. I found that the removal of the lowest plug (on J/B1) prevents the 10a Dome fuse from being blown. This also restores the dome light, clock, courtesy lights, and dinger (I forgot that existed!). I believe (as far as testing goes) that this plug relates to the brake and turning signal lights as while this plug is not connected the tail light warning signal and none of the said lights work. I believe the plug in relation to the brake lights is pulling to much power or cross wired with the dome lights. I see no relation that the Dome fuse and brake lights should have in common. I'm asking anyone that access to detailed diagrams or sees something I missed to please assist. Check out this manual and go to page 324 for the interior lighting diagram, Not sure which one of J/B1 is the plug your talking about, if you scroll down more you can see the connectors for that block. http://gt4.mwp.id.au/Toyota%20Manuals/Toyo...%20(RM399E).pdf |

Definitely sounds like a short somewhere. Of course your interior lights and radio should still work... Break out a multi meter and check out the diagrams here. They start on page 313. http://gt4.mwp.id.au/Toyota%20Manuals/Toyo...%20(RM399E).pdf |

I've had this happen in colder weather too mainly cause I never really use the passenger door. Usually if you let the interior heat up, it'll warm up the lock actuator enough to allow it to move. The problem is that moisture builds up in the actuator and freezes the unit enough that it won't fully return the latch or even unlock. It's a pain to deal with but applying a little heat to it will fix it for you, I used a heat gun on low setting. Like cheela suggested, put a little extra grease on stuff and that should help reduce the chance of it happening. |

Replacing the O2 would be your best bet, clearing codes from the ECU is only temporary and after like you experienced with driving, once the ECU tries to set values and calibrate it will pop the codes back up again. Last upstream O2 I got was from rockauto for 30.00 for a Denso. |

The only method I've heard of with letting light through is by using a fine grit sandpaper on the back of the gauge faces and sand off the OE tint film. Usually a fix when using clear bulbs to get rid of the off white tint from the gauges. |
