Now that the girl was home, I could pull out the tools and have a quick look at her to see if there is anything that can be done to save her! First step was to take the guard off and the broken headlight, jack the car up and remove the wheel and suspension unit. As you can see on the photo the unit was completely bent. Rentaspace was kind enough to donate me his old stock suspension unit and front guard to see if I can at least get the car drivable so I can drop it of at the mechanics to give it a thorough inspection. Disassembling the car. A look at how bent the suspension really was . After I replaced the suspension there still seemed to be a lot of negative camber plus a lot of toe in. I adjusted the toe in to the complete maximum but it was still -2.1 degrees. drivable at least to the mechanics but not looking good so far. Moment of truth reveals that the lower control arm is completely out of kilt, the steering column has seen better days and the actual chassis itself is bent as well. He said he could repair it but the car would obviously never drive the same again and the cost involved in getting it repaired would be more than buying a new one. So now I just have to wait until I hear back from the insurance company. |

Dear All, Currently in the process of swapping parts from the old Celica into the new one and thus I have some spare parts that I believe to be of reasonable significants to anyone on this forum. These parts have come out of a Australian SX-R 6GC which is right hand drive. please find a list below with photo's to compliment. - Red and black pattern seats front and rear: (Came with the special SX-R edition here in Australia) - Stock double din head unit with CD player. - Stock speakers both front and rear with tweeters. - Door panels with my own custom blue suede touch to it. - Sunroof: (Comes with roof liner and control unit, everything pretty much to make it a plug and play job) - Two licence plate bezels: (Both are black and both are AUS/US/JDM version, not the long euro bezel) - Three post spoiler: (Also in black, came with the facelift version) - Top dash unit surrond: (Comes with working clock) - Mesh rear speaker covers (All tabs intact) - Tweeter pods: (These sit on the top corner of the door and come with the tweeter mounts inside) - Center Consol: (With medium wear and tear as expected with the age of our cars) - Parcel tray: (In very good condition) - Stock air intake box: (comes with almost new air filter and all the screws etc) - Bonnet stock: (also in black in considerable condition with working spray nozzles) I am happy to ship internationally. I honestly don't know what to price these items at, The 6GC community has been extremely helpful for me so I am willing to be quite flexible with the prices on these items and as long as I am not out of pocket with the shipping costs as well. PM me with what you think is a fair price to offer and we can go from there. |

So now for the bad new. Two weeks ago some old dude ran into the side of me while failing to give way. All I can say its a real shame what happened! I had the car towed as it was completely un-driveable and took her home to assess the damage and get her up on the jacks too see if recovery would be possible. Judging by the picks though, I presumed my chances where slim. . Take a look for yourselves. As I said before, the prognosis is not looking good. The guy that ran into me thought was an 74 year old man who claims he did not see me and was unable to brake in time. Anyway what pissed me off even more though was he pretty much came out unhindered. More to come. |

Alright everyone, I have been snooping and scrolling through hundreds of posts on this fantastic website and I felt it was time to start my own progression thread to simply document my journey. I am currently located in Sydney, Australia where my little Celica roams the streets! It is a 1996 ZR model with the 5SFE with TRD front and rear splitters, 7th Gen sportivo 17" x 7" wheels complimented with Kuhmo Ecsta XS (KU36) tyres 17x215x45. Clear side indicators, TRD Gear knob, black and red stitched boot. Dark blue suede door cards, Sony Xplode double din head deck with sound system to match. Cannon exhaust system and dual core aftermarket radiator. Here are some pics of her, enjoy! A sick twist of events are about to follow however |

Received the Black Euro Bezel and his famous white and red LED instrument cluster today. Packaging was well taken care of. absolutely fantastic levels of communication and very fair pricing as well. Delivery was well within expected time frame, 12 days to get from Eastern Europe to Australia. Thank you very much The_End. I will definitely be doing business again in the future and would recommend anyone else to purchase through you!!! |

Hey CelicaZR, Welcome back mate! I have only had my 6GC for just over a year now but to see that you still love your one after 9 years is awesome. I am also located in Sydney along with "rentaspace". We have had a few meet ups within the last month so we should meet up for a cruise in the near future. Would love to see the mods you have on your car especially a black one . Gives me something to look forward too! |

Awesome that Josh was able to find those risers for you. I have been tossing up as to get the GT-4 / SSIII spoiler or not but just the vast size of it put me off it. Now with these half blocks I think it would look fantastic! so jealous. My Celica is at the garage at the moment getting a major service done to her so the funds will be down a little bit again so no major modding going on for me. |

Looking really good mate. Also nice too see that you are enjoying your Celica to the fullest with all those road trips away . I am thinking about ordering the red stitched leather centre console cover as well. Where did you get yours from? Cheers, Tom |
