Don't mean to throw this in the mix, but has anyone ever seen the twin piston GT4 brakes in person. My guess is that they use same 315mm rotor according to Toyota diagrams. Googled it but nothing came up. I see one clip for sale locally that has them Yeah front and rear use 315mm disc on the gt4. I've just done my conversion yesterday |

Well, the conversion itself took me about 1 hour, and was pretty smooth, but I didn't realised at that moment that a tab from my gt4 front clip was broken. Now i have to chase the part.... any idea if i have to get the entire shaft or just the small part with the tab? I am not sure which number on the part chart i would need. |

Hi, i disasemble what i would call the selector shaft (not sure of the name) and i remarked there seem to have a broken tab. I think it would explain the shifter being really hard to move in every direction. Now, the car is not rolling yet (currently swapping 3rd gen 3sgte with 94 mr2 e153). When i transfer my tranny to fwd, i reuse everything from my e154f. But now, with a broken shaft, what part can i use? Do i have to reuse one from a e154f, or can i use one from something else? I was thinking camry/solara e153, or even a st185 ? Do i even have the right name for this part? Is there a part number of the entire shaft, or can i find just the part with the broken tab and replace it on my shaft? Thanks everyone. |

I have the front axles at home, from my front clip. About 60,000km on the odometer, but i can't tell if the axles are 60 000km old or if they have already been replaced. |

does anyone have ever tried st205 outershafts with the e153 innershafts? any outputs about the length of this combination? if it has been tried, with or without spacers (like the st185/camry with mr2 inners)? I'm asking this because e154f and e153 are virtually the same transmission (at least in my opinion! ) so in my idea, the combo of these inners/outers may be the right length.... (still just my opinion!) |

After i installed my rear gt4 brake kit. I get intense squeals... Its intermenit but my foot is not even on the brakes. Im using gt4 wrc pads and rear supra brake pad shims. Didnt fit quite perfectly. Gonna take it apart and see whats going on. And got 2 washers on the rear to space the brake caliper 5mm away from the hub have you found your rear brake problem ? |

Does anyone have the part number for the rear st205 caliper bolts? Or the specs of the bolts so I can buy the right sized bolt? |

I'll probably start with a fitment test to check how everything sits together... And then if it doesn't look like it belong there, I'll take measurement of my current 204 disc and my 205 disc to compare how there are differences in depth or other spec. I'll have to start by threading the mounting holes on the bracket and maybe the calipers too. Thanks for your help! |

I only had the front discs reduced to 300mm. I haven't bought the rear one yet but from what I've seen here it's pretty much bolt on + a small spacer. I've found on Culpable04 thread that he removed almost 10mm of his front bracket. But he isn't using st205 disc, but some Cadillac rotors from what I've been told. |

I will soon be beginning the brake swap on my st204. I have the 205 calipers and disc, which have been reduced to 300mm. Does anyone know if, using this setup, I'll have to grind almost 10mm on the bracket? The others topic I've found talk about grinding the bracket to fit a front disc which isn't design to go there, like subaru's and Cadillac... Thanks |

Yes it would be possible for me, but i don't know about the shipping cost! If you can manage the shipping part, i'll take care of removing everything around the engine. |

Have you found some of the parts you were looking for? As soon that I find my rear gt4 brakes, all my gt brakes system will be up for sale. Let me know if you need something. |

From what I've found on this topic it seems doable: http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=64315 Of course it would be faster and easier with the e153 from camry/solara, but with the mr2 tranny, the only thing I'm not sure about is the mount. Is it located on the good place or does it need to be rewelded on another location? For the rest of the job, from what I've found, it seems like a fairly straight job. I might not have toyota's sst to convert my e154f, but I was a mechanic when I was younger and the mr2 tranny job don't scare me like the e154f does! |
