A body kit will definitely change the cool factor on how it looks. I put a body kit on a different Toyota of mine and had a lot of issues. Speed bumps irritated me, drainage gutters next to sidewalks were so low that it caused me to bottom out, always scraping on the bottom in too many places on the road, fitment issues caused a lot of extra work, and one little tap caused cracks in the fiberglass. I really liked the looks of my kit, but the proximity to the road was too close. I ended up taking a 3 1/4 inch section out of all 4 pieces so that it was not so low, and I was able to retain a different look.

Full body kit:

Sectioned kit:

With the sectioned kit, I have ground clearance and it still retains the custom look.

Very nice work! Good to see slow progress. Less stress that way. smile.gif

The black base with a darker metal looks sharp! I like seeing how people are paying more attention to customizing interiors. I've always changed my cars' environment since the early 90's. Logically, we spend more time seeing our car from the inside, and suiting our own desires should have importance over what everyone else sees.

Today I pounded out a dent in my passenger door, ordered 7th gen seats (front and back), and got on-road approval from the DMV and DEQ for my 4WD V8 powered Celica build. smile.gif Also got approval from our HOA to pour a 70X15 concrete pad along the side of my house and driveway down to the sidewalk. It has been a great day!

Greetings! New to the forum, life-long enthusiast of Celicas. I found my 95 ST on Boise Craigslist last week. This is my 11th Celica (various years), and 14th Toyota. The 6G is by far my favorite body style. I fell in love with this generation when I test drove one in 1997. I plan on doing some major modifications and improvements to her as my wallet and time allows. My patience has usually worked out well for all the restorations I've built.
