Just looking. I still haven't finished my 3s swap. Want to know if anyone out there is selling something in good shape not too expensive that has some forced induction? I'm talking about a completed car not just a motor. thanks |

Pics? Gotta go to my mechanic. It's been at his shop on a lift for over a year now. I'll take some shots of it with my cell phone. I don't know how to post pics on this site for some reason. If someone could inform me I could post some or I'll e-mail you some if you give me your address. |

Hi, I've posted this topic before and didn't recieve much attention on it. But I'm really serious about selling my 96' 25th anniversary 3sgte project car. It's a great car and I love it, but I don't think that I will ever have the time to finish the 3s swap. I have a crap load of money invested in it and I know that selling it will be a great loss, but I think it's time for it to go to someone that can give it the attention it needs. The car is a 1996 25th anniversary celica. It is in great shape! I have taken very good care of it. It's most major blemish is because of a neglegant d-bag shop owner! Long story. The blemish is the passenger side door handle is completely missing! That is the only downside of this car. I promise you that! On the upside, the car has an amazing collection of great parts that will be sold with it along with oh you guessed it! An F-ing beastly motor called a 3rd gen Yamaha 3sgte! Pretty sure it cost me like $3500 alone! Along with the great car you will be buying, you get a vis vader kit! I took great care of the paint after the whole car was painted. Waxed it like crazy! Oh yeah, haha. It wasn't the best paint job, it was supposed to be wet sanded, but it never got done unfortunately. But nevertheless it looks pretty good for the most part. I'm being really honest here if you haven't noticed. The parts that will be coming along with the car are: Aussie 3" hpc coated downpipe, apexi turbo timer, apexi universal muffler, koyo race radiator, all around disc coverted w/ powerstop vented rotors and ground control coilovers, powerstop brake pads, samco silicone radiator hoses, trd quickshifter, apexi cold air intake. Pretty sure that's it. I was asking $5000 at one point, but I'm open to offers. I don't want to see it go, but It needs to go to someone who knows how to work on it because I don't and I've had a lot of trouble finding people interested in finishing it. Shoot me an offer and I'll consider it. Btw the harness is wired in and some minor additions have been added to the motor, new belts, master pulley and waterpump replaced. And I'm not parting it out! If you ask me I won't respond. Peace. |

Hi was kinding testing to see if anyone would be interested. I have a 96 25th anniversary celica. Full vis vader kit, all around powerstop vented rotors and ground control coilovers. I began the 3s swap in 08' and ran into a couple snags. Here's a list of parts that I have. Koyo radiator, walbro 255lph pump, apexi turbo timer, apexi intake kit, apexi turbo muffler, act stage 2 clutch kit, 3s press plate, 5sfe tranny, brand new axles, trd short shifter, Aussie hpc coated downpipe, came with a blitz performance ecu, turbo xs manual boost contorller, apexi bov, samco rad induction hoses, powerstop performance pads, steal braided brake lines, speedhut carbon gague pod. The motor is a 95 j-spec was said to have 45,000 miles on it. I'm looking to get $5000 and that includes everything. The motor is in the car w/ tranny set up. The harness has been spliced and hooked up. Changed the water pump, the timing belt tensioner pulley, put a new timing belt on. If you consider all the brand new parts and whats been done to the car, I personally think you'd be getting a lot! for 5g's. The only downside is that the passenger side door was damaged at the shop I had it at. The door handle was torn out, needs to be replaced, car was broke into. No other damage aside from that. The car's in great shape. It's been sitting in a garage on a lift for a while now. I don't think I'll be able to get it finished, don't have the money currently. It's a great car and if you can finish it it will be a F***ing beast!!! So let me know if you are interested. I don't wanna budge from the $5000 mark. It's worth every penny, believe me I have a lot more! invested in it than I'm asking. I'll only take cash. If I end up selling the car and only if someone buys it, I also have a full set of JDM projectors, I want $1000, that's what I paid for them from Texas Toyota. I have a set of rial nogaro's 17 by 8 w/ pirelli pzeros. I'd be looking for $1000 for the set. Also have a trd style spoiler, would be looking for around $150 for. And I also have a full 3sgte fmic kit. Would want about $500 for that. |

I started my 3rd gen 3sgte swap a little over 3 years ago and unfortunately it hasn't really gone my way, so I am just kinda testing the market and seeing if anyone would be interested in a project car. The motor alone cost me around $3500 so, I'm looking for about $4000 for the car w/ the motor and additional parts that are already installed on the car. As you can see, I wouldn't really be making a profit at all considering all the money that went into the body work/additional parts and the huge headache this car became for me! So what you'd be getting: 3rd gen 3sgte w/ ecu. The ecu had blitz stickers on it, not sure if they were just put there or if it is a blitz ecu. I have a 5sfe tranny on it w/ an act stage 2 clutch and of course an act 3s press plate The car itself. 96' celica 25th anniversary w/ 17' chrome wheels, full vis invader kit. The car was broken into a while back so it is missing the passenger side door handle and not sure the condition of the rims/tires, it sat outside for a couple months and unfortunately chrome isn't very resilliant! Additional parts already installed on the car. Apexi turbo timer, trd quickshifter, ground control coilovers and all around powerstop vented rotors. The rear brakes were converted to gt brakes. If you add all of this up, understand the fact that to ME this is a huge loss! With all the parts and labor on this car to ME it's worth probably about double what I'm looking to get for it! BUT, like I said, I am not 100% sure that I would like to sell this car. I am just testing the market, seeing if there are any potential buyers. And BTW, consider the fact that I live in CT and this car is going to have to be towed to its destination. |

So, unfortunately my 3s swap is still not complete. It should be done by october, but I know that once it is complete I have to bring it to emissions since my registration is up on the 13th. The big question is how do you pass. I spoke to my mechanic, he say's that you can ask for them to do a tail pipe test ahead of time and they have to get the ok from the dmv. He also told me that there is a product out on the market that has an obd2 plug in and it shows that your all good. Anyone have any idea, i've been searching for this obd2 thing, but haven't found it yet. |

I'm hoping to have my 3s swap done by October, but my emissions is going to be coming up after December. I'm just wondering what you do to pass emissions with a 3s swap. Is there something you can do to make it so they can plug into the computer and clear out the codes to pass the car or im a screwed??? |

Does it come with t clamps or those crappy clamps(idk wat else to call them) I guess I spoke to soon about the quality, but to answer some of pressure2's questions, the ic pipes are made of aluminum, core size is about 20"by12"by 4", it has t clamps and the couplers are silicone made by a company called autobahn88 and yes it came with what it shows in the picture on ebay minus the silicone reducer they show holding on the bov and the silicone hose that goes to the vacuum line. I let you guy's know how it fits when I actually install it. |

So, I just wanted to inform anyone who is looking for a fmic kit, check out ebay. Type in celica st205 and it will come up with a couple kits, but don't buy the xspower kit from ss autochrome its most likely garbage, I bought a downpipe from them and the welds were pretty bad. There is a kit that ebay seller jithk sells, I just ordered it from him and recieved it on monday, it's pretty nice and now I don't have to go through all the b.s. of tryin to put a kit together. Well, check it out if your interested. |

Ok, so its been 1 year and 8 months exactly since I began my 3s swap. Long time huh!!! It's pretty close to being done but just wanted to know a little bit about setting up a custom fmic. I got a universal core that is 31 by 12 by 3 with 3" outlets. I also got a 3" universal piping kit. First question, is a universal pipe kit enough to pipe in the fmic, keep in mind that I will be putting it together with couplers, I don't have anyone to cut and weld, I will have it welded eventually. 2nd, what do you do to support the core so it doesn't bounce aroud? And 3rd, this may be a stupid question, but, what do you fill the core with, can you use any antifreeze or do you need a special kind? |

^ what he said -bboy For what reason? I'm gonna do a fmic settup no matter what you guys say, so if somone could tell me what bends I need, that would be more of a help then telling me to use a tmic, which is less functional then a fmic! So, why is an st205 tmic better then a fmic??? Hahaha, I thought you KNEW that a FMIC was better than the ST205 TMW2AIC. As many people are starting to make you aware, a FMIC is no way better than a W2A intercooler setup. The stock setup is perfect for sub 300WHP, and only minor modifications are needed above 300WHP to keep it equally efficient. For sub 300WHP, add some heat reflective tape to the bottom of the IC to prevent heat soaking....and call it a day. For above 300WHP by adding an aftermarket high flow pump and Larger HE....you now have a setup good for 500+WHP Do a little research on W2A Intercoolers, you may shock yourself and feel quite embarrassed about your previous statements. If you aren't all hooked up on the way a FMIC looks, keep the ST205 setup for adding a FMIC will yield ZERO gains. Oh BTW, congrats on the GEN3....very wise choice ****ttt! I wish I knew this before, I already cut my vis bumper to fit my fmic, so ima go with the fmic anyway's. I like the look of the fmic better anyway's. |

I will give you my fully welded mandrel bent stainless 2.5" piping routed around my gen3, (take a look in my profile) for your topmount system <-serious offer. Hell i will add apexi intake or precison turbo front mount or some gauges or cash just sell me your your topmount please! I will also consider my kidney if you are in the organ market (Shhh... noone tell him how st205 tmic is much better than fmic ) So, why is an st205 tmic better then a fmic??? |

I'm not to this point quite yet, but I'll be there pretty soon. I got a hiprospeed 3" core and a universal 3" intercooler pipe kit. What I am wondering is for those of you who have set up an fmic for a 3rd gen 3s, is a universal pipe kit enough for this set up? I've been looking at other people's set up's and it looks to me like Ima need more pipe. I was wondering if any of you could tell me exactly what bends Ima need to run from the intake manifold and from the turbo? I'm gonna remove the window washer reservior so I don't have to run the pipe under the frame rail and I would like to weld the pipes, but at this point it looks like ima use cupplers until I can find someone to weld. One last thing, does it really make much of a difference welding the pipe as aposed to using cupplers??? |

I have two brand new sets of powerstop cross drilled rear rotors for a gt celica. Powerstop changed the finish on the rotors after I bought these, they make a gold finish now, the rotors I have are like a flat bronze. I'd like $200 per set + s&h, let me know if your interested and just send me your zip so I can tell you the s&h price. Since no one has shown any interest in these, give me an offer and I'll let you know if it's good enough and maybe we can make a deal! |

As you may know from some of my posts, I have been trying to get my 3s swap done and I brought my car to a shop and they basically screwed me over and stole parts from me. I had a trd short shifter and they said they installed it, but I haven't driven my car in about a year and it's kinda hard to tell if the shifts are shorter then before because I don't really remember how it felt to shift, if that makes any sense. Well, I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it is a trd short shifter by the code on it. The code is PA6-GF30. Is this right??? |

I am planning on setting up an fmic, I got the core and a universal piping kit, but I was looking on ebay and I saw that they have an m-spec intercooler kit for an st185 st205. They have it up for $399 + $52 for shipping. I am just wondering if it would be better to get this kit for my car or use what i have, if you want to check it out just type in st205 on ebay and it should come up. |

I know they make performance rotors for the st, but yeah, powerstop only makes them for a gt. I may just return the rotors and get summit racing drilled and slotted rotors. The only reason I don't wanna do that is I'll have gold rotors in the back and silver up front! |

Ok, well we've established that powerstop doesn't make front rotors that fit a celica st, only a gt. The only options that I can see is return the front set I got for a gt and get summit racing front rotors that fit the st, only problem there is they are silver and the rear rotors I have are powerstop and are colored gold. Second option is convert the front to gt brake components. But I was just wondering, does anyone know if the rotors on say a 96 corolla are the same as an st? If they are then I'll just return the set of gt's and order the corolla rotors. |
