I might be able to get a good deal on some wheels but the offset is +50 on a 17x8. My stock wheels say 15x7 +45 so from what I can tell without any spacers it will have an extra 18mm on the inside and 8mm on the out side. I am looking to lower my car so I'm not trying for the "flush" look I simply don't want issues with rubbing. Would a 10mm spacer be right?

The tires currently on there are 205/40/17 but I'd like to go up to a 215

Parts Database

It would help if you told us what year celica you own, or even filled out your profile slightly. 94-95 signal lights and 96-99 are different. Your going to have to order them online, I don't think your going to find part like these in too many stores.

I'm like CelicaSTX02, I've been a member since the site first started and seen it grow from a handful of 6GC owners who posted on one forum at celica.net (not that makes me better than the guy who joined yesterday). I hardly ever post, but I've been reading almost everything thats been posted over the years and have definatly noticed the slump the forums have been in. I hope everyone takes the time to read this thread and really takes it to heart, coomer couldn't be more right!

I've seen some of the most knowlegeable and helpful members come and go, I'd hate for us to loose some due to such childish behavour. Just remember why we are all here, we all share the same passion regardless of our knowledge level or joined date.

Your right anything can be done, but moching up a custom body would be very difficult to do with out the actual car even for the most experienced builder. As far as legal, I'm sure if you designed it well enough you wouldn't have too many problems passing an inspection, like you said anything is possible. A hard top would be tough to pull off, you sit so far down in the atom that getting out any door would be a major hassle, you'ld need a door more like a GT40 that opens up part of the roof. Keep in mind fiberglass on the scale your talking about would be very heavy for such a small sporty car, best go carbon fiber seeing as price seems to be no object for this endevor.

Silver94CelicaOwner is right a lotus would be practicle solution to this. Check out the lotus super 7 for ideas. But I'm sure you'ld rather this tread be about legalities and such, so back to the real question...

super charged type R I think, fast little car but nothing more than a toy. If you've seen the Top Gear episode, the only car at the time it couldn't beat around there track was the Enzo, so why would you want to swap engines? I'm not a honda fan either but i don't see the point in spending all that money to try to swap just so you can run a toyota, it's more car than you'll ever need as far as speed goes (on a tight track that is not much of a top speed car).

Building a body would be slightly more difficult than getting a few measurments and slapping one together, you'ld actually have to have the car to even attempt to make something that wouldn't fit like crap. Besides it takes more than a fiberglass to make a safe body that isn't going to mangle you if you were ever in an accident, you'ld have to rework alot of the car to make someting worth putting on there, which would kinda defeat what the atom is all about.

Anything is posible, but is this project realistic? Thats a whole lot of money you don't even have yet, and a mess of problems no one can answer unless you actually had the car to start planning and building off of. Can it be done... Sure but if your serious then just focus on getting the car first then worry about everything else.

you'ld have to get someone to post a pic of the bottom side of the hood, but I think it won't fit though. It sticks up quite a bit even with a gt4 hood and it's extra clearance.

You allready have the post in exterior styling, no need to link to it here it has nothing to do with this forum. This is how the forums get cluttered with garbage, people have seen your post and will respond eventually. Posting twice and in non-related forums will only draw negative attention to your origonal post.

I ve got Eibach springs on my GT4...they seem to work OK, but i`m going to change to TRD soon.

Eibach makes the springs for TRD, it's basically the same as the pro-kit from eibach.

did kg/mm make springs for the SS-III, for some reason i thought they did?

check the contacts in the starter, they wear out. When mine went the car would randomly not start like that. It's just little copper contacts they are super cheap too, if that is the case.

Your right that hood is made for non-GT4's. c-one makes both styles. Your might not want to see the price of that hood though...bulletproof
