Heya guys, had an idea the other night when I was struggling to remove bad fuel from 2.2 95 celica. I made up two wires with small alligator clips on the end wired to an off on switch then two wires out with large alligator clips. With battery completely removed from car, clip large clips to battery.(make sure switch is off). Unscrew fuel filter and connect hose to fuel line. I used a hose with a screw connector to match thread. Need a good connection due to the psi. Other end of hose in collector (jerry can). Remove back seat. Undo 4 screws holding fuel pump cover access. Un-plug fuel pump power connector On the top of fuel pump. You will now see male 5 terminal pins on top of pump in a triangle pattern 2 and 3. Face front of the car select the 2 male pins these are positive negative. If factory blue wire positive white wire negative. Connect other end of us created rig. (Small alligator clips). Make sure hose is in container and switch on. Pump will run and remain running till tank is empty. Standby switch as to switch off as soon as only air comes out hose. The rig I made only cost $30 aus and took less then 10 mins to make. Hopefully this helps anyone in the same predicament I was in. Dash was pulled apart and so was engine. |
