LUCKY!! We won't get snow for another 2 months if we get it at all. Usually, it's just 3 inches of heavy, wet, disgustingness. |

QUOTE(confucious @ Oct 11, 2006 - 5:19 PM) again, if you read the whole thread it wasn't meant as offensive. its something that happens. and also, i DO have a better idea than you think. i don't have to defend myself against you. my guess is you were born in 1987, which makes you what, 18-19? do realize you are talking to someone with YEARS under their belt of dealing with people like this. you name it, i've seen it. guess who gets the aftermath? me. if you want to call someone out, i suggest you try someone else. also QUOTE When we finally found her, she was incoherant in all ways, aggressive, and extremely delusional. This continued for 4 days as we attempted (without success) to get her into the overflowing mental health system. Nobody would see her because they were already overflowing. I don't know how things are in TN but we have what is known as a "chapter 51" where if someone is a harm to themselves or others they are FORCED by the police to go to the hospital. if they are unable to care for themselves we have a "chapter 55" which is basically the same thing, a 72 hour hold at a hospital. i am sure your laws have something very much alike that. Years of dealing with people? Having just graduated college with a Chemical Engineering degree? What am I missing here? How exactly does that make you an expert on mental health? Oh wait. You're a keyboard warrior. That makes you an expert on everything. To quote YOU. If you had read the whole thread, maybe you would have figured out that it was not until the cops were called that she was determined to be a danger to herself or others. Now, feel free to go ahead and tell me how much smarter than you are, and how you won't take advice from "some dumb kid who's 18 or 19" who doesn't have "nearly the experience" that you do. It's your style and I respect that. Anybody can look good behind a keyboard. You're great at it. While you're at it, you can go ahead and mention how I didn't directly say in my original post that she was committed after the arrest, quote some other law that I'm sure you learned about somewhere because you're dazzlingly smart like that. Oh yeah, and I'm probably wrong about how much experience you have, because this ChE degree is probably your 6th undergrad degree. In fact, I'm probably all around wrong about everything. You probably grew up with a bipolar family member and have experienced this and more for years now, hence the experience. You probably have your graduate degree in Physc. I'm really happy for you. While you're at it, make a few insanely smart comments about how stupid I am and how you're not going to grace this thread with your comments any more. That way, you'll rise above it all. Insult me personally, and generally make me look like a generally wet behind the ears, fresh faced, momma's boy who knows nothing and who has experienced nothing. After all, God forbid that anyone think you just another normal human being. You're special that way. That way, everybody will still respect and applaud you when you make asshole comments about people who have mental problems. People will just let it slide because everybody knows that you're just kidding. Nobody will care that it was an asshole thing to say, or that it was rude and insensitive. Oh yeah, and don't forget to mention that I'm being overly sensitive about the whole thing. Jerkoff |

I’ve been on a rapid cycle with my Bipolar and I’m going a little nuts. THAT explains why you deal with the police. NO MORE MED HOLIDAYS FOR YOU! It's lack of meds that causes my erratic behavior. Med holiday = a holiday away from your meds. Its what psycho people do and then the big bad meany police have to come and take them away to the hospital where they get to have a fun little stay. That was a real dick thing to say from somebody who is obviously ignorant about a lot of ****. Since you obviously don't know, let me tell you what it's like to live with a bipolar family member. First, there's the "coming out" episode. For our family, it started with the 4 hour dissappearance of my (then) 19 year old sister. When we finally found her, she was incoherant in all ways, aggressive, and extremely delusional. This continued for 4 days as we attempted (without success) to get her into the overflowing mental health system. Nobody would see her because they were already overflowing. Well, after about 4 days of physcosis, things came to a head when she jumped out a window at 4 AM and was arrested for disorderly conduct, booked, and jailed, all as my 50 year-od mother watched sobbing incoherantly, feeling completely responsible because this kind of thing is genetic, and it came from her side of the family. I, being 17 at the time, was my sister's best friend and the only one she trusted. I rode to the police station in the back of the car with her, was escorted into the basement with her, and was the last one to see her before she dissappeared into the holding cells. That was 3 years ago. Now, she has been stabilized with heavy medication. That's just great too. She no longer has energy, she is dissastisfied with her body image because of how much the meds slow her metabolism down, she no longer has the clearness of thought to have in-depth discussions about much of anything. She does OK in school, being a Journalism major, and spends all of her spare time devoted to her 2 horses. This is another side affect of the "coming out episode." She retains a pseudo-deusion that nobody but her can be trusted to take care of them. I could go on for days about the little ways that she has changed and will never be the same, but this is so long already that most people will probably skip right over it, so I'll conclude with this thought. Watch your mouth ****-stain. You haven't the foggiest what the hell you're talking about. And yeah. This thread is out of hand. |

QUOTE(Chanh55 @ Oct 11, 2006 - 1:05 PM) Looks nice if you have absolutely no taste. That's a fine way to put it if you want to be a dick. Did another thought make it out onto the page??? But no. I don't really dig it. One thing that really attracted me to Celicas is that 4 light combo, and the lines of the hood just flow so well into those 2 front lights. I think it would look wrong without them. |

There's a little thing called RARITY and DEMAND. I don't want the standard flames here, but let's do a little comparison. Why do people get $35K+ for a low mileage TT Supra that could be 10+ years old? BECAUSE PEOPLE WANT THEM. /thread hijack |

Not showing up for work is how you quit at McDonnalds. If you want to quit, explain why and give your two weeks notice. They'll either say: "Sorry it's not working out. Thanks for your time." or "What might we be able to do (within reason) to retain you?" And when you do leave, you'll have references there in the future. If you call or just stop going, then you can never use that job for anything. No reference, no expierence, nothing. |

QUOTE(uberschall @ Sep 28, 2006 - 11:05 PM) omfg. the wrx kit is 10k. 10k, people. i am in shock. if you have anywhere near that amount of money, you should be driving a 1000hp supra, not a celica. note that the majority of the cars above were show cars, not cars that get driven much. edit: H8DC3lica94, i gather that you have more money and technical knowledge than anyone on this forum. i salute your efforts in making even a 3sgte swap look like childs play. A decient 1000 rwhp Supra will cost you more than 10K to build. Way more. |

That's why he's a cop asshat. Why are we still talking to this kid? He's 15, broke a law by turning right on red when it was clearly posted that he could not do this, and now labors under the delusion that he is going to beat this ticket. This is the 2nd thread about this ticket. It is no more legible than the first one, nor is it any more intelligent. If he wants to fight, let him fight, but for the love of mike, please stop fostering such ignorance. |
