i put that one wire in and everything is working fine, the exhaust should be a good ground, the oringinal ground was linked to others and attached at the intake mani...not like it was going straight to pcm ground or anything |

On my 7afe the upstream(front) o2 sensor has two wires one ground(brown) and one signal to the pcm(black). I dont have that two bolt setup any more for that sensor and will need to put in a standard o2 so i was going to put in Bosch universal #11027. my question is since its a one wire connection the sensor it self should ground out...right? |

with the paper clip in there as i stated it will bypass all relays and fuses but the EFI relay and EFI fuse..both are located in the fuse box on the drivers side under the hood. |

Since the ecu will advance timing, will the trick the mr2 guys do work on an obd2 ecu in our cars? The trick is to lower fuel pressure with an adjustable fpr and then add fuel with the safc. Doing it this way won't cause the ecu to advance timing. What do you guy think? it dosnt have the capability to monitor fuel pressure. |

well defiantly if there's something causing excessive resistance it will produce heat mechanically or electrically the only big wire going to your alternator is the power wire... about 8ga?... first replace alternator then have battery tested. buy 4ga wire and a inline 100amp fuse and connect it directly to your battery. f the bs |

start using another gas station - very common on the rx8s... converters are not cheap(emissions 90k? warranty)/ we told customers to switch gas stations. buy time customers visceral/somatic sensory threshold levels will adjust. |

i have a 95.5 7afe(obd2[not really]) with crank sensor, has EGR, and non-adjustable distributor. with a blown engine. i got a 94 7afe(obd1) with no crank sensor, no EGR, and adjustable distributor for free that i want to put in my 95. i plan on turboing the obd1 engine as the obd2 was turboed. question : 1.would you leave everything in tacked and just do a swap? 2.should convert this obd1 to egr . 3. if i want to put the crank pos sensor in it i will need to change out the oil pump i believe which i dont want to but will it be worth it? 4. can put the crank sensor with adjustable distributor?(but if i do that the obd2 pcm will try to adjust my timming). more info: turbo fuel adjustments will be made adjusting map sensor signals(SAFC type of piggyback) you'd need to swap the oil pump, and crank gear as well, (it has the trigger wheel built into it) onto the older motor, as well as your distributor ect. would it be better to turbo the 94 motor? thinking about swaping motor trans w/ pcm and calling it a day |

Ok good morning America. well last time i rebuilt my engine i laid the block in a matter that caused the knock sensor to get damaged. I'm poor so i said f it. Well just got back from overseas and discovered the inspection is due and i have a engine light on. the car is a 95 corolla 7afe with a lil turbo on it. i pulled codes 52-Knock Sensor Circuit (open or short in circuit between 1200 and 6000rpm) and 27(Sub-Oxygen Sensor Circuit) and i know if i drive long enough I'll get a 71-EGR gas temp. 27 was due to me not pluging it back in. 71 i believe is due to me breaking the EGR vacuum modulator nipple on the under side and so i said f it and disabled the whole EGR system. after searching for quite a while I've came up with some stuff people do to fool the pcm in to thinking there's a knock senor there. Our cars have knock senors with what they call a piezoelectric element inside which generates voltage when it vibrates. and the element is tuned to engine knock frequency. So on the interweb i found this guy who successfully used a piezo transducer (radioshack part #273-073 or 273-0073 $1.99 each) to generate this signal. I wired two of them in series and loosely taped it to my fuel rail. test drove the car in test mode (TE2 and E1 pins jumped) and have not been able to get the MIL to come back. I do not recommend anybody to do this, detonation will destroy your engine due to the fact the pcm will not retard timing when needed. and to only use this with EGT and wideband as a diag tool. or in my case pass the Texas emissions test at this time i believe my engine is not pinging thus engine is running more powerfully and efficiently. cliff note: Young men provide the genius and muscle by which our society thrives. Is that an OEM 7A headgasket? Because that would answer my question as to whether or not the 7A always had a metal one or if it's a 96+ thing, both engines I had are 97's so not much of a comparison. At first I thought it was a 4A headgasket because I saw the rubber gasket for that big return opening in the front but then noticed that all the holes pretty much line up with all the jaskets. my 95 corolla with the 7afe came with a metal hg. |

Ha-ha. It's cool. No, I haven't worked on it. Gotta find a new compressor wheel first. HEre's a cellphone vid from a few days ago but it doesn't sound too good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKFkWai1AQE Here's a really bad video of my boost response, I'm never at more than 50-60% throttle. You can't really hear the turbo spool, just the exhaust a little. what turbo r u running ? bov? wastegate? |

what do u mean? if you can get the stock one to work(which requires more work then most want to do) ..you should be able to adjust it? ....the simple way is to take a 91 to 95 ford escort EDIS system and stick it on....if some one can direct me to a website that has info on using the stock wheel and sensors that would be great. |
