I'm just wondering where the 60 large went when the car is still sitting on factory steelies and I can see the painted steering wheel losing...paint. I suppose if you paid someone to do the swap and conversion they could have completely hosed you and charged close to a sixth of what you spent, but that leaves me wondering if you paid $45,000 for someone to take your hubcaps and sell them off. Having said that, I'd talk it down to 3k and feel okay about it. Good luck with sale. SwissFerdi, there is no need for sarcasm. We are all here because we are fans of 6GC. I, like many other sport cars enthusiasts, pumped a lot of money into my car from interior, exterior, engine swap (imported the front half of a GT4 all the way from Japan to do the "heart transplant"), Transmission swap from automatic to stick, Front mount intercooler conversion from top to front, engine mods, suspensions, two full body custom paint jobs, full body kit, carbon fiber exterior in front and back, 3 different sets of aftermarket wheels not shown in the ad (you can check out one of them here http://newyork.craigslist.org/brx/pts/4083065668.html , competition sound system, did several car shows, and the list goes on. I've got all the pics to prove it! So face the facts before making assumptions. And thanks for the "good luck." |

Would I be better off going with an 8.5:1 or 9.1:1 since I can't find the factory spec of 8.8:1? |

Hey 6GC friends, It's been a minute since I have been on here. Happy new year to all of you. Regarding the pistons for the 3SGTE All-trac motor: is 8.5:1 the stock compression? The JE Pistons/Rods combo I find on ebay has a compression ration of 9.0:1 See link below: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JE-Pistons-...2#ht_2627wt_860 p.s. Does anyone know where I can obtain the stock specs on both the rods and pistons for the 3SGTE? Thanks in advance! |

My mechanics gave me the same recommendation and the prices as follow: Eagle Rods: $300 J&E Pistons: $540 8.5:1 compression Can I get them any cheaper or is that the best possible price. I am already using ARP bolts. Thanks... |

Hello, everyone. One of my stock rods broke and now I have to pull apart the engine and swap rods and pistons. I don't want to replace them with stock. I need stronger rods & pistons for my 3SGTE motor. Any recommendations as to which ones I should get and from where at a reasonable price? And is 8.5 - 9.0 compression ration good? I'm just above 400WHP... Thanks much... |

Under the "knife" refers to a "heart" transplant (3SGTE SWAP) and transmission swap. In addition, I changed my entire set up by upgrading to an after markt turbo with methanol application. DEATH, my car wasn't drivable for an entire year because it was under the "knife." So, technically speaking, I have only used my clutch for just about two years. what was done to the car when it was under the "knife" ? |

DEATH, my car wasn't drivable for an entire year because it was under the "knife." So, technically speaking, I have only used my clutch for just about two years. PEACE I run about 400+ horses, so the stock clutch will not be able to hold the power. Not throwing the BS flag here but I see nothing in your profile that would suggest you are over 300HP - got a dyno slip on that? And if so - let us know how you got there so we can play too. The fact that the ACT clutch held up to that power for 3 years says much for ACTs already killer rep IMO. Get another one new - why would you look elsewhere if you got 3 years out of it? I know I change my clutches every 2 years at minimum just cause there is nothing like a new clutch [ACT all the way for me but others too obviously] and the peace of mind that I'm not gonna be stranded due to something i could control myslef so easily. Then again, I've said it before - I probably overmaintain my car |

I haven't updated my profile in over a year, buddy! I have a 20-G turbo with methanol running 291bs of boost. Still have doubts??? p.s. I had a street tune. Have yet to put in on the dyno, but the tuner says that the car is well in the 400s. And it sure feels that way. SMILE! |

Hi, pals. I have an ACT Race Disc clutch in my car for about three years now and I am just begininng to have problems with it. First of all, this clutch has always been stiff (it's like going to the gym to work out legs). Under high RPM, however, I expereince a delay or (jam, if you will) in upshifting from 2nd to 3rd and downshifting from 3rd to 2nd, and I sometimes get locked out of 4th gear. If anyone is using this clutch, have you experienced such problem before? What is the best aftermarket clutch for the 6 gen? I run about 400+ horses, so the stock clutch will not be able to hold the power. Thanks, Al. |

The 10mm spacer clear the suspension! That has already been tested. Only the fender may need to roll in and that is not a big deal and is cost-effective! Thanks QUOTE(trdproven @ Mar 8, 2008 - 4:57 AM) QUOTE(nemesis @ Mar 8, 2008 - 3:46 AM) The 9.5" will fit in the rear with a 10mm spacer. I tried it! And depending on the type of tires you put on, you may or may not have to roll the rear fenders! QUOTE(LewFX @ Mar 6, 2008 - 12:24 PM) i cant imagine these can fit the celica with that 9.5" rear Depends as well on your drop and the wheels offset. Of course width on the wheels matter but offset plays a role as well. Clearing the suspension and fender lip is your main concerns. The Axis wheels don't attract me but it does have a unique painted scheme. |

This offer is for a set of 4 BRAND NEW/UNUSED custom painted 5-lug AXIS wheels at an UNBELIEVABLE crack head price of ONLY $699 (Rims must sell to satisfy debt). This offer is for less than half the cost of the wheels with the custom paint job. Axis Reverb is a five-spoke wheel that uses a unique casting process that makes each spoke hollow resulting in a lightweight yet very strong wheel. These wheels are custom painted for the streets or show and would look good on cars with a solid color like black, white, silver or other to create a distinctive look that will turn heads. Center caps (4 black) are included. NOTE: All four wheels have the same color pattern. I removed the taping around the lip of two of the wheels for the purpose of demonstration. The other two wheels that appear all orange in the pictures still have the protective taping on that can be easily removed. WHEEL SPECS: SIZE: 18X8.5(2-FRONT) AND 18X.9.5(2-REAR) BOLT PATTERN: 5X100 COLOR: CUSTOM PAINTED MILD ORANGE W/BLACK LIP PERFECT FOR CUSTOM APPLICATIONS!!! NOTE: Please direct all questions regarding fitment to Axis. Copy and paste the following link in your internet browser for more info: www.axiswheels.com/wheels.php?id=reverb For those who may not have any use for these wheels you can still purchase them at this incredibly low price and resell them for more money. 18" Axis LIGHTWEIGHT WHEELS (custom painted) BRAND NEW |
