okay so my drivers rear caliper may be sezied... that past couple of days its been squeaking badly ( low pad life) so today i took a closer look and my rotor is bluing from the heat and it looks like i have no pad on the outside ( opposite of the piston) this happened to my front and i had to replace my caliper. but my local parts store said the front and rear calipers are on factory back order so there going to be next to impossible to get. i ending up replacing the front caliper with a camry single piston caliper. when that happened a couple months ago but now I'm not sure what to replace the rear with.. has anyone else ran into this problem, any help would be great.

also there are no 6 gens in the scrap yards around me that i know of kindasad.gif

Okay so my engine has been tough to start the past couple weeks. When I would spary starter fluid in the intake it starts up, but today it was not wanting to start with the starter fluid. It would start up then die and it did that a couple of times. Then I would start and idle at like 200! Rpm then die, I finally got it to start. This LEDs me to believe it's the fuel pump but I've always heard a fuel pump works or it doesn't. And this is an internment problem. So any suggestions on what would cause this to happen?

thanks guys! discount tire direct looks like its a better deal for tires. Ive thought more about rims and for now im going to pick up some steel ones from the scrap yard and save my self some money haha. Im still deciding on tires though, the cooper cs5's look like a good choice. but the hankooks are cheaper...

okay so i need new tires for summer, I'm running 195-65 continental extremewintercontact and there were great for winter, but i don't want to destroy them. I've been looking for rims so i can have two sets. I've thought about 7gen gts and scion tc oem rims but i can't find gts rims in my area and all the scion rims i find are $200 with bad tires on them, so i would need to replace the tires on top of buying the rims. on tire rack they have sparco asstto gara 16" for a $396 a set. http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseU...&sort=Price

I'm thinking of going with the sparco's but I'm not sure what tire to get with that. i would like to keep it under $800 including shipping so i was looking ay hankook ventus v2 conpect2 or Sumitomo htr z II

its about $780 all together for either tire mounting and shipped to my door on the sparco's is that a good deal for rims and tires?

any help would be much appreciated!

okay so my dad tells me about this 84' or 83' celica gts with the 22re that he had in the mid 90's , im curious if its realistic.

Mods to the car were: Bigger injectors- unknown size
cams- unknown grind
gear ratio was 5.something (he tells me they were stock)

Okay so with this car he says he was running 125mph in a 1/4 mile. i highly doubt that he was running that but thats what he says. what are your guys thoughts?

QUOTE (VavAlephVav @ Apr 5, 2015 - 7:31 PM) *
If the TPS isn't set the computer won't be able to use the IACV properly. If you unscrew the TPS and move it at all it has to be calibrated to an exact spot within .10"
The IACV itself is just a magnetic coil and a valve that opens and closes. The computer tells it how far to open and if the TPS is off the computer can't adjust the idle right.

yes i understand that, i never touched my tps when i took everything apart. i took the spring off the iacv which keeps the valve in the correct spot when it opens and closes to adjust the idle. i can't get the the spring in the correct spot so the valve opens like it should. so if you or anybody knows how to that then that would be helpful. i have taken the tps off my t100 and repclaced it with another off a junk yard truck and got it to idle fine without calibrating it so i doubt its the tps, but thanks for giving me a heads up.

Thanks for the info but it's not the tps it's the iacv that's needs to be recaibrated, I'm going to the scrap yard tomorrow to see if I can get one off a Camry because I can't figure out how to get it to idle correctly, it keeps pulsing

okay so i took off the tb and cleaned the whole thing and when i took go the idle air control valve i accidentally took ogg the calibration plate for it and now my idle pulses from 1000 to 2000 and I'm not sure how the spring goes on the back side of the iacv

it shouldn't be the plugs and wires. i replaced the plugs in the fall and the wires seemed fine, but when i did the plugs there was wet oil on 2 of them. like the valve cover gasket was leaking into the plug holes but i had replaced those gaskets before did the plugs.

no codes are on ( obd1) the timing was done at 140,000 by previous owner, its got the 185,000 on it now. how would i figure out if the IACV or coolant temp sensor is bad?

So my engine hasn't been running right lately and it occasionally won't start or starts the dies right away. The idle goes between 800rpm and 600rpm ( like the needle bobs) and when i accelerate it doesn't really pick up pep until 4000prm. I'm thinking its a distributor problem but could it be something else?

why is the throw length too short? the shifter follows a set course when you shift. if that course is measured and the correct tolerances added then why wouldn't it work? sure the gates might look a bit short if that may be the case.
