Gutting the stock cat is there a problem? not about the tests or whatever.. about the engine... is there a problem that the cat stock pipe is wider than 3 inches..will cause any damage to the internals because of no out gas compression ? i gut the stock cat almost 3 months ago and now i have some problems misfiring on high load , O2 sensor running rich like always , changed spark plugs and igniter + MAF the problem is softer now before was like fuel cat. hardly cuts now its like misfiring in row on full load of stock turbo pressure...and there's a friend that keeps telling me that the gutted cat does this.. is this possible after 3 months of gutted cat starts a problem from nowhere and causes this ?

Nono... 9 volt maximum idle and higher rpms..im waiting now until tomorrow adapter for manometer to check the fuel pressure its not boost cut ,i did the map test like Toyota's manual says..i installed glycerine's gauge witb T adapter on map and they saying press all the gas on 2nd gear at 3000rpm and more and if sayin maximum 16.7 psi and minimum 11 if i remember right the tvsv and map are work right...i checked today lambda sensor the gas pedal sensor too foe air temp on butterfly..i need yo install an halimeter or wideband to see if the car has low fuel or high fuel...i need to take out injectors rail and injectors too...i dont know what is going on

Hello,
im dealing a problem 7-8 days now first of all
The problem symptoms changes couple times
When i was hit boost with 2 and 3 gear the car did a cut like the speed limiter ... like motor died...(so hard cut) well changed to cutting like no fuel or something like that...and now it goes 5 rpma and starts lagging like rpm limiter...
What i did
1)changed fuel filter with bigger and new
2)changed spark plugs with new and i checked all spark coils everything okay
3) i checked from ecu to igniter and igniter to distributor never cutted power from there
4)i checked volts from fuel pump works at 8 and 9 volts and 5 amber..are these volts low?..expect this, when i turn the key to "on"before start engine the pump doesn't starts for Little like "vrouuuuum"and stop because im sure before months did it...
5) i haven't check the fuel pressure yet...
6)i changed the map with other and i checked it with polymeter it works...
7)the turbo gauge from cluster never goes to 0 it goes little bit down from zero when i turn key to "on"
i press all the way down the gas after 3000rpm and when it goes to 4 and half until 5 makes cuts like rev limiter but the boost in cluster is full...is there anything wrong with tvsv or the vsv? I have and video but i dont know how to share it

Hello to everyone..i did the last 5-6 months ST205 swap but FWD with MR2 inside blocks transmission .. like MR2 turbo is... its torsen no viscous...
well from beggining the car when was spinning was hitting everything with vibration even inside.
I have video from engine bay the engine like you see hits like the wheels are spinning and makes really strong vibrations what is that? does the transmission makes this vibrations because of the "lock" transmission that MR2 turbo has?and moves the vibrations to engine bay and the engine bay to chassi? the other guess is does make so big vibrations because of my really loose rims? they are 18 and atleast 9 maybe and 9.5 .. i dont know what to do ... im waiting for better weather cause raining everyday to check all engine mounts

Not actually...I mean the gauge that shows turbo boost doesn't go down ...the second I just remembered I only used in first days only 100 octane fuel... When I used 95(maybe bad gas too) for 2 times this started...I refuel it with 100v power gas and I think now this boost cut thing stopped...but compared with days before after 4000rpm doesn't pull....

Hello Celica world !

i've done my swap after 5-6 months and well done ...the car was smooth at all but now i have something like misfire ..for example ( i got this before 30 minutes..)
i had 4th i shift to 3rd and when i had 3000 or 3500 RPM i passed a car but while this time maybe around the 4000 RPM or more i got something like misfire something like hold the car or cut the power for less that seconds

Well , was wire problem i did 2 black yellow wires that the were near i confused the wires, i fixed it but the project failed ...i tried to use AWD trans for FWD but the viscous inside they spinning cause theres no differential in the back ...in straight road the car goes but uphills or something like that the car wont move...i 2 choices... 4WD convert or SW20 trans or 3SGE (beams) trans but im afraid about the long axle that the high power maybe will make it in to pieces tongue.gif

Thanks for reply guys , well yes i did a swap , the ECU didn't let the engine start , i bridged the Black Yellow wire that comes from the igniter to ECU "C" connector with the grey that comes from RPM cluster and works perfectly and no error code appeared again ..probably the igniter sends puplses to ECU that confirms the engine is working , do you know if theres any wire that comes inside and gives these kind of orders from igniter to ECU ?

I just did a 3sgte swap everything is OK but the ECU won't let the engine start, the engine shooting right even electrical even the fuel but the ECU probably cut it off. Why? Or maybe plus that the right cooler fan starts alone when I turn the key to ignition , does count if I don't have dumb valve plugged and I have only the anti lag valve (wrc version)

Hello guys , as you know the st205 gauge has some different icons in different positions and other in right position even the diagram on the back is different from st202 and at200 , what's my extra options to fix it expect to create connection with wires?

The "explosions" or popping of the exhaust is again, unburned fuel igniting late as a result of your car pushing a ton of fuel while being pinned to what is usually, not peak RPM. So the car is adjusting the timing and a/f mixture here so it's ready as soon as you let off the brake to give you enough fuel.


Well in clear words you mean anti lag while you decelerating keeps the turbo high ? cause i hear lot of things about anti lag and im confused, i build the car for normal ride ,i mean not 700+ HP tongue.gif maybe 350-400 WHP not more atleast for now and for some track days for fun not rally or whatever.. so its good to enable the anti lag ? is the 3S ECU customizable ? or i need parallel after market ECU to edit this settings ? plus that i took a look on the wastegate and its not like the others i think to increase the pressure from the wastegate with tee its hard or unlikely

and guys whats the difference between the real WRC anti lag when you leave the gas pedal starts "papapapapapapa" with this ? i know that anti lag frees the turbine every time you leave the gas pedal and returns the pressure where it was am i right on that? also i know that anti lag goes with launch control and the car starts like mother****er hahahahah

Hello guys i took a look on my motor blow off but its not as usual like other people's OEM BOV are.. well check my headers with these little pipes goes . from 1st to 4th and the 2nd to 3rd and they ending with 2 little pipes exactly in blow offs stand



and thats a friend's motor

He told me maybe i have an WRC edition motor with anti lag system is this true ? or its something else? can i install an after market BOV or no?

If your idling is 400 and hardly 700rpm ,the revs goes up slowly than before? Cause I had this problem and the 2 injectors of 4 didn't work..I don't know about 5s.I have 3sgte

Hello Guys,i want to change my timing belt kit with new water pump e.t.c with AISIN water pump cause they are tested for long miles without leaking like other aftermarket pumps do .. i found this product on ebay from California http://www.ebay.com/itm/281116932297 i live in Greece so i need help before i buy it and make any mistakes ...i asked this guy who sell them and he told me they are not fit because they are from 91-94 MR2 3SGTE and Celica...
i need second advice from people in here who knows really good 3SGTE because im new in this motor...

2) i want to change the gaskets and flanges too from the head gasket from the same guy in ebay he told me too doesnt fit ... he works with age models http://www.ebay.com/itm/370754743862 this is the product

Take a look please and help me before i buy them and waste my money...
