I've just got a new set of dials from a GT4OC Group buy through this place http://www.skewer.co.uk/. Mook is a GT4OC member and he custom makes them to your needs and has templates for the different styles available in both Kph & Mph.

I'd agree about the masking. Use good quality masking tape too, particularly to mask off the edges of windows and trim if you are not removing them completely.

Patience is also key, as they say on the can - many thin layers are better than one thick layer covered in drips.

All in all I found it a relaxing enjoyable exercise, but then I enjoy quality over speed.

I've just put new rims on my GT4 and the manufacturer recommended a 7" width for 17s and I think the sit a little bit far inside the bodywork. The previous wheels wer shod with 235 rubber but seemed to reduce the steering response at low speed, (at least i think so as the new wheels steer so much better.) I'm saving up for another set of wheel because the ones I want I'll have to import and I can't finance but when the time comes I think I'll split the difference in widths.

The new wheels are 17x7 with a 35 offset and clear the calipers fine. The previous wheels needed a spacer to get clearence, which is illegal here, but they were on the car since it arrived in the country and had never been picked up on.

These are the ones I'm saving for that will fit.

Well here are pics of what I am putting in the doors. The stock 1" already has a yellow cone in good condition so it is staying.

I have had to cut the back of the bracket and some of the door frame to get the magnets to fit freely.

First to fit the 4" to the standard brackets post plenty of pics on how it went.

I have matching 6.5" Pioneers in the rear.

I have since upgraded the rear lights, side repeaters and front indicator lenses (Thanks Wolfie) and I am in the process of molding the bodykit. Will take some newer pics when it is done.

I know what he is talking about, I have the premium package as well and have managed to replace the 8" speakers although I had to cut the door panel to fit the magnet.

I haven't replaced the 4" yet beacuse the bracket is actually formed as a part of the speaker housing and has two medium and one long arm that reaches out to the mounting points. What I am thinking of doing when I get the chance is just ripping the paper cone out of the existing speaker and then cutting the rest of the speaker away from the bracket and glueing the new 4" in.

I agree with the moving of the battery, one of the first things I plan to do to free up some working space.

The max boost you will be able to run on the stock turbo will depend on whether you have the standard ceramic turbne or one of the homogulation (sp) steel turbines.

Mine pulls all the way to 7100 @ 1.06 bar (haven't ever taken it right to the limit) although from about 6900 on the engine starts screaming and being a noob I need to take someone who knows their noises for a blat to work out if it is the wastegate or induction.

GT4WRC on here should be able to give you some good answers, he had a good setup and really punished me on the strip before he pulled his engine out and rebuilt it.
