I think that those IAC valves rarely go bad,as long as you keep them clean.My car (94 gt) was fluctuating on idle badly and wouldn't start after heating up and the problem was the coolant temp sensor,I replaced it and everything normalized.My IAC valve is original.You can disconnect the sensor to see if theres a change.( it's the two wire sensor) |

Today I discovered that my cars engine coolant temp sensor was the cause of my car shutting off at idle, would start up fine in the morning then after running for a while would shut down and would start only after cooling down.Before this it wouldn't start at all and I took out the ecm and had to replace a burnt capacitor and repair an open trace on the pc board,everything is back to normal. yessss! |
