These have been sitting in my garage for a couple months and since I no longer have a Celica, I thought I'd give you guys first shot at them before I put them on ebay. As I said in the title, these were on my 1999 GT. The wheels are nice, but not perfect. Hopefully the pictures I took will show the minor curb rash and normal wear around the center cap. These look great from about 10 feet and have a great shine, but I don't want to mis-represent them as flawless. The tires are BF Goodrich G-Force Sports, size 205/55 R15 and have approximately 80% tread remaining. The BFG's have a treadwear rating of 340, Traction AA and Temperature A. I will accept paypal, cashiers check or personal checks. Personal checks must clear before I ship these. I will ship them UPS Ground as soon as Paypal or cashiers check is received. Email me at nat3157@msn.com or feel free to call me at 570-716-2647 if you have any questions. I realize I don't have many posts on this forum, but I go by the same name on the corvetteforum.com and have over 10,000 posts. Lug nuts are not included and I do not have the other two wheels. |

I'm a little disappointed in the gas mileage of my 5 speed '99 GT. I use the car every day and can put up to 400 miles per day on the car. Coming from a '92 ST that averaged roughly 38 MPH, I was hoping for at least mid 30's from my '99 but seem to be stuck right around 30 MPG. I was just curious if anyone else is getting better mileage and if so, what brand plugs are you using, air filter...etc. My car now has 72,000 miles on it and am planning a full tune-up this weekend. |

QUOTE(Fastbird @ Mar 13, 2006 - 4:42 PM) For whoever said it: The F-Body (Camaro/Firebird line) got the TPI 305 in 1986 with the TPI 350 following in 87. Check your facts. I know because my primary vehicular interest lies with the GM F-Body. I've owned a total of 5 ranging from 84 to 99. The GN has a VERY large underground following in the domestic world now, and yes, they were 3.8L V6 with a turbo on them. You're off by one year Fastbird. The Camaro Z28 got TPI in 1985. I had an '85 Z28 back in the late 80's and drag raced that car every weekend for two summers. I poured every dollar I made into that car and barely broke into the 14's with it. Needless to say, I didn't make much money back then so I didn't do any major mods. Mostly bolt on stuff. It wasn't a fast car at all, but I had a blast racing every week! |

I know people that make 3 times what I do that don't have the things I do. But I should mention that I do make a little more than your local mailman. Not a whole lot more, but more nonetheless. |

I'm about an hour north of Harrisburg. So probably 3 1/2 hours from Pittsburgh. Anytime you come this way, shoot me an email. You're welcome to stop by. Only thing is, I said I had a '95 Viper. I sold that about 2 years ago. |

QUOTE(lagos @ Feb 19, 2006 - 6:06 PM) damn, you doing pretty well for your self in your early 30s. welcome to the site. we have a great comunity here that i thnk you will like. any plans to modify the celica, or do you plan to keep it as a stock daily driver? Thanks very much for the welcome! You know, I have an uncontrollable urge to modify every car I buy, but I had such good luck with my last Celica that I left alone, I may just let this one go too. I think it looks great the way it is. The only thing I may do would be an intake for a little more power. One thing that I have noticed with this car is that evey guy in an Eclipse, or Civic (etc) wants to race me. I guess because my Celica looks fast, people think I'd want to play. |

QUOTE(dustin15brown @ Feb 19, 2006 - 12:23 PM) Nice vettes man. But what I wanna see is the Viper... Thats my dream car.... *drool* The mistake I made was that I really wanted a GTS and ended up buying the first Gen RT/10. All I saw was Viper and I bought it. I really didn't like the car at all. The top was a pain in the butt to take off and the side curtains sucked because I could never drive the car if there was a chance of rain. It leaked like crazy. It alwasys seemed like I was fixing something on it too. Some guys like the "old school" style of the 1st Gen Vipers, but I'd much rather have a newer model. |

I'm new to this forum but have owned 3 Celicas to date. Just picked up my 3rd last week. Its a '99 silver GT with 57,000 miles, 5 speed, loaded except for a sunroof. What a great car! I traded a '92 ST with 252,000 miles and I never touched a thing on the car. Everything except the tires, air filter and fluids were exactly the way they were when the car left the factory 14 years ago! I really wanted to change the timing belt about 3 years ago but kept putting it off. LOL! I've owned 30+ cars to date, and without a doubt, that little '92 was the most reliable car I've ever owned! The other Celica I owned was a '96 Anniversary model, but I only kept that car 5 months and traded it away. I'm a die-hard Corvette guy and have owned 5 Corvettes and a '95 Viper. My current Corvette is a '04 Commerative Edition Z06 (Z16) with an ECS Paxton Novi 2000 Supercharger running 12 lbs of boost. While I had the supercharger installed, I went ahead and had the engine forged along with Kooks 1 3/4 headers, Methanol injection and a custom return fuel system. It dyno'd just under 700 horsepower to the rear wheels which is roughly 817 at the crank. This is my weekend "fun" car while the Celica take on the daily driving duties. Anyway, nice to meet of you and I'll be around quite a bit. |
