I ordered them on eBay on this store : http://stores.ebay.com/Sparkplugssource

The exact reference for those wires is "TX69". He did not have this reference listed but I asked him, and he found some for me.

Beautiful car. I am going to be coming to France either this spring or this fall... I'm not sure where Mulhouse is, but I'd love to get together, if you want.

Mulhouse is east of France, near Germany and Switzerland. If you are near, it would be a pleasure wink.gif

I am looking for photos or explanation about how to flush and refill the intercooler coolant fluid, and same for the engine coolant fluid... If you know where I can find this...

Thank Al.

Sorry but what do you mean by "lag it while it is off" ?

I went to a Toyota parts store this morning to buy some stuff :
- dizzy cap,
- rotor arm,
- LSD 75W90 oil...

I am going to change everything, to be sure I start from a good base.
I have a doubt, Toyota told me that the coolant fluid for the intercooler is no more than standard coolant fluid you use for the engine. Can anyone confirm this ?

I don't know how it works in the US, but in Europe, if you want to register a car that comes from outside Europe (example US or Japan), you must change all the parts that are not on "european standards" to fit those "european standards". That includes :
- seat belts,
- all the windows,
- all the lights,
- some electronics...

You have many technical controls to pass, like UTAC and DRIRE.
This takes at least one year and many many many Euros...

Woow, many replies smile.gif

I will answer to everyone :

TomPoz > There are not many sports cars in France, and even less japanese cars, and even less turbo cars... frown.gif Yeah but the exception is, we have many kids with Hondas who think they are driving a rocket laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Valo666 > I am from North East of France, the exact name of the city is "Mulhouse", it is just 15 minutes from Germany and 15 minutes from Switzerland.

azian_advanced > Exactly what IGloo answered, it is to control your ass's height biggrin.gif

goferris > I think Toyota to did not export those beauties to America for the same reason they did not bring them to France : not enough customers for that kind of "civilized" rally cars.

Wolf_tm > I do not know if previous owner was member of any club... Actually I bought the car from a professional seller, who told me the previous older was about 45 years old, but that's all I know. I heard about the meeting in Parma some month ago already, I will check out. If I find some friends to come with me, why not smile.gif

Oh yes ok, it is a left hand drive indeed.

As for the intercooler flush, yep, I will. Do you advise me standard coolant fluid ? Or should I go buy some specific coolant at a Toyota shop ?

Yep, at last, after having sold my 1.8 ST, I bought my beloved Celica ST205 this saturday in Italy.
Ok, let's go for the photos first biggrin.gif

This beauty was first registred in november 94 and has 103.000 km. Full stock, and really good shape (only one fender would need some repainting since I am a maniac).

Mine was the first I ever drove, and waow my god tongue.gif
It accelerates like hell, I am already in love ! thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif

When driving back from Italy to France, my mean fuel consumption was around 10.5 liters per 100 km, so quite few, I was surprised. I always heard this car was a pain with fuel consumption, but my old underpowered AE86 was almost as thirsty ! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

I was a bit disappointent when I tried an ST185 and a Carlos Sainz in the past, and I must admit the ST205 is really on another level. I tried a top speed run on sunday on a French highway, I reached 260 km/h and the car would still tell me "come on, push it" laugh.gif

For now, first I will make a large check up, change the oils, spark plugs, filters... And later will come a standard BPU, with intake/exhaust/boost raise, some bronze wheels...

Thanks for reading smile.gif

Thank you for this pic Gary, very usefull wink.gif

As for "boosting up", what is the maxi pressure recommended to keep the engine safe ? The value I read the most often is around 1.3 bar (19 psi).

Hi all...

I just sold my 1.8 6GC frown.gif It was like a heartbreak, I really love this car !

But now I am going to buy an ST205 tongue.gif
This model is quite rare in Europe, I am looking through Italy and Germany for the moment.

I spotted one that seems ok and I may go check it next week. I was am going to bring a boost gauge with me to check the current boost pressure but I could find the following information : what is the "stock" boost pressure ?

Thanks wink.gif
