Hey there! I'm interested in the black leather interior for the front driver and passenger seats. Are these the "Classic Soft Trim" seats/covers? If you could PM or share a picture of them that would be most helpful! But yes, I'm interested. =) |

I can take a look on the fasteners and let you know. I know I do not have an extra master window switch, it was lost in the accident. In regards to my statement on the seat covers, my preference is to sell the seats whole. I'm trying to free up space in my basement and selling only the covers does not help my cause. Cool, thanks. I appreciate it. And that's okay about the switch, it's not one of my priorities but it's still on the list. In regards to the shifter mentioned in the previous comments, would the plastic shielding happen to still be in one piece? The bottom half of mine was cracked when I got the car and is pretty unsightly when in park lol. I know it's a common problem. And to elaborate: the part is the thin plastic bit that slides with the shifter. As for the seats, I figured that might've been what you meant. Depending on the overall price, I may just take them with the seats as is. Would you be able to PM me a couple pictures of what they look like? I'd like to make sure they're the same as mine. =) |

Heya! What sort of seats does the 'vert have? If it has the black Classic Soft Trim seats then I'd definitely be interested in buying just the covers. Mine are getting to be pretty rough in shape. Other than that, would you be parting with the oem floor mats if you have them? I'm looking for some of those as well. Last thing would be some pretty small parts. Would you happen to have the door fasteners/pegs that go on the side of the door panels? Should be three on each side. If you have them to spare, I'd like 'em. Other part would be one of the two 10mm hex screws that hold the relay box in place. Misplaced one of them while replacing my alternator so I'd like to have both again. lol The extra interior is black leather. I'd rather not have to pull the covers off them, seeing as how people always seem to be looking for black leather interiors (yet, there are none in this thread...) The car has no OEM floormats, so I can't help you there.... If you can PM me a picture of the door fasteners, it would help me to know if I have extras. I actually have no idea what the original fasteners look like (maybe someone here does?) All I know are the location of them. If they're there along the sides of the doors, maybe you could remove them? One other thing I thought of would be the driver side mirror/window/etc control panel, if you have an extra in good shape. I'm also not quite sure what you mean by the seat cover comment. You'd rather not pull them off due to people looking for them? Seems like it'd be a prime time to sell. I'm right here! lol Although I would like to confirm the type of seats. Do yours look like this?: https://s25.postimg.org/7jw8ip533/Driver_Co...pg_original.jpg |

Hey, everyone. Been a little while since I've posted on here. I'm still looking for a few things. Hopefully someone can help! First, I'd like to know if anyone has a cover for the passenger-side airbag. The one I have now is becoming very browned, as the black is fading and rubbing off with every cleaning. Now, I'm not too familiar with the airbag module in the sense that I don't know if replacing the cover is even possible. If there's no way to replace the black cover, would anyone have any suggestions on painting over it with any type of paint that would work with the black interior? I was thinking some shoe polish. Second, I am in the market for some original "Classic Soft Trim" seat covers. Ideally both would be great, in good condition of course. I'm more concerned about the driver's seat though, as the perpetual sliding in and out from the previous owner (and from myself) has worn it through and continues to be a bother. Above all, it's just an eyesore in general and it would do wonders to be replaced. Here is a picture (from a previous seller on here) of exactly what they look like. http://s33.postimg.org/5ygfvrzgv/Driver_Co...pg_original.jpg Thanks, guys! |

Good pics! It's a nice Celica, man. I'm sure a buyer will come along. And I can understand how exterior rust could be a sign of more unseen rust. Judging from it's location it seems to be typical rust for northern cars. Optionally, I'd raise the car and take a peek underneath to see if there's any underlying problems concerning that, but overall I think it's a solid car for a good price. It'd be a shame if someone bought it just to run it into the ground. Hopefully an enthusiast comes along and wants to spiff 'er up. =) |

Oh man, I've never seen that armrest before. I guess it's for the fact that it was dealer-only in Japan lol. I'm on the hunt for one of the add-on armrests seen here and there, but that one looks great. Love the compartment and cupholder combo. Great design. The price is out of my range though, unfortunately. =/ |

Is rust really going to deter interested buyers that much? I mean, come on. The price is very right. I got my Celica for $1500 earlier this year and yes, it came with a bit of rust. Rust can be fixed. It'll cost a few hundred depending on how much rust and where it's located, but once it's fixed, it's a memory. Considering the price, I think someone should go for this. It looks fine aside from the rust and it definitely has potential. I myself would probably offer an even grand for it if I were looking to buy. |

This may have been covered already but have you checked the stereo fuse? I know there is at least one under the hood in that fuse box, 20 or 30 amp I believe and there should be a spare provided. That doesn't explain you hearing the CD mechanism but judging by the connector shine above there may be multiple power supplies feeding the radio and a few different grounds. Worth checking anyway. Yep, I did check the fuse under the hood labeled "Radio 1" and it was alright. Wasn't blown. The one under the panel inside is fine too. Under the hood is a 20, inside is a 15. That would appear to be all the related fuses. |

Yeah, the moment you unplug the stereo, the stereo locks itself as part of the anti-theft system. Although if you indeed have the same stereo as in the OP, it doesn't check with any BCM or VIN, you would just have to input a sequence of button presses on the stereo to unlock it, which only the dealer will provide. The sequence varies based on the stereo ID number located next to the Toyota logo on the front of the stereo. Okay, gotcha. It's still not displaying anything, although it's reacting when plugged in. Maybe it's not getting enough power to function properly? In the meantime, I've hooked up the crappy aftermarket stereo that was in it before. If I can find another stereo just like it for an affordable price, in great condition, I'll probably get it. Although those models are surprisingly rare. =/ |

The anti-theft system would show "HELP" on the display and the key indication on the stereo would glow red. Since it's not doing that, and the stereo reacts or has power when plugged, then my guess is the radio is bad. Would it do that despite being from an entirely different vehicle? I'm pretty sure that form of anti-theft was implemented later, where the stereo communicates with the BCM and matches the VIN, but the unresponsiveness does sound like it. |

This is the strangest damn thing. I am getting no readings on my multimeter. Tested all suggested above. I am pretty positive the multimeter isn't bad since I used used it to replace a part on my dryer. I tested it on the "sound" setting on pins 4 and 3 to see if it was even making any sort of conductive path, and yes, it rang very steady. Just to be absolutely certain, is there a specific setting I should be testing with? I've tried most, if not all, just to remove doubt, even though I'm still at a loss. What I don't understand is that when I plug the stereo in, the stereo reacts. So it must be getting power. Could this have anything to do with the Anti-Theft system it has? |

Alright, I tested the leads directly from the car. The blue pair. I received no reading on any setting on the multimeter lol. The car was on and everything was as it should be. Curious, I hooked up my previous, crappy aftermarket radio and it worked just like before (has a built-in amp). At any rate, I kept testing all the connections as I connected them. Plugged in the amp, and tested the outgoing plug and received some minor readings. Plugged in the stereo again and it made its cycle sounds, but still nothing. There does seem to be power getting to everything. If the amp was bad, would the stereo still react like it does when plugged in? Is there anything I need to change electrically to accommodate the amp? |

how are you certain that you had the code to unlock the radio. best thing is to check there is power to those leads, before the amp, and after the amp. Need a multimeter. radio may be toast, amp may be toast. radio can be tested with aftermarket amp. amp can be tested with aftermarket radio. I don't have the code, I just wanted to see if the button combination would activate it to enter the code, but it was still unresponsive. I do have a multimeter so I guess I'll see what's what. I really hope one of them isn't a bust. I did read though that aftermarket radios cant be used with stock amps. Then again, I wouldn't know for sure either way, but I suppose some trial and error is in order. If anyone else has any information, please feel free to post! |

Alright, guys. I have a problem. I have an original Toyota stereo as seen here: http://i00.i.aliimg.com/img/pb/987/270/614/614270987_491.jpg Since that particular system requires an amplifier, I purchased a stock one from a member on here, identical to the one seen here: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTIwMFgxNjAw/z/y...Q/$_57.JPG All cables are present and all connections fit and are tight. No missing prongs or severed wires. Once everything was ready to go I turned the car on and I heard the laser cycle, but the player did not turn on. I pressed the power button, and nothing. I also did the button combination to unlock Toyota radios, but it was still unresponsive. What am I doing wrong? Did I miss something? All fuses that relate to the radio and dash are fine as well. It seems to be getting power, but man, I am at a loss. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated! |

Oh man, they look good...that's a shame that they can't fit. Are they aftermarket? My seats are getting pretty worn, especially the infamous sliding in and out wear and tear on the left side of the driver's seat. I know there are ways to work (or fight, rather) with leather, so I am semi-interested. lol I'll see what I can find. |

Hey, all. I have another thread on here somewhere, but instead of necro-posting it for this particular instance, I'm specifically looking for a stock, original amplifier that came in some Celicas. I have one that I would like to install, but it requires the amplifier and without it, it will not work. If anyone has one they can spare or no longer need after an aftermarket upgrade, please let me know. I'm on a rather tight budget, but hopefully we can work something out. I appreciate it! |

I just noticed that one of the clips that holds the hatch/trunk shelf in place is missing. It's the left one, and judging from the right, it looks like they are removable pieces. Would anyone happen to have one of the left clips that they'd like to sell? |

Hey, guys. I recently picked up an original CD/Cassette combo stereo for my '97 Celica. When I got the car, it had a basic aftermarket unit in it and had very limited connectivity for any external media. Basically, just discs and radio. So I pulled it out after getting the new stereo and saw that it needed a different connector. What I'm needing is an adapter that can connect the left/right blue female plugs to the male input on the back of the stereo. Please see the pics below. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzJ1081e0H...iew?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzJ1081e0H...iew?usp=sharing Doing a little research, I found that some Celicas came with their own external amplifier and I'm guessing it's what usually came in Celicas with this stereo system. I'm also not entirely sure if I actually need an amp for this unit to work. So for now, I just need to know what connector I need to try it out. Been to a couple auto parts stores and surprisingly, their selection was limited (one didn't even have any Toyota style connectors). I appreciate any help, thanks! |

Bumping. Contacted CELL about his steering wheel and it would appear you need a license to ship airbags. Unsure if he knows how to remove it. Would anyone happen to have a good condition four-post wheel without an airbag equipped? Still searching for other parts. Also, if anyone would happen to have the long vent at the very back of the dash near the windshield that is not snapped in the center, I'd like one of them too. Could probably be shipped easily in a tube. =P |

I have factory amp, hell I'll give you the damn thing if you pay for the shipping haha. I just got to rip it out of my car. My alpine power pack sits on it. Its disconnected and worthless lol. I think Its 8 watts or something like that Interesting! I might just take you up on that. All depends on the shipping costs, I guess. |

Hey, all! I've been perusing this site for a couple months now after finally obtaining a 6th gen. It's a '97 ST Coupe and for the most part, it was in great condition compared to most I've seen around here, especially for the price I purchased it for. As a side project, I'm wanting to replace and/or repair any pieces or parts to try to return it to as stock as possible. Some parts may be harder to find than others, but that's the thrill of the hunt, I reckon! Below is a list of what I'm currently looking for. I'll update it as needed. • Auto shifter skirt/shield (common cracking) • Black Classic Soft Trim driver seat (minimal damage) • OEM floor mats • Glove box handle/latch (cracked) • OEM rims • Fog lights with switch • Steering wheel in good condition (mine has dry cracking) • Left clip for trunk shelf • Large center console arm rest One other thing is maybe an original stereo amplifier. I purchase the CD/Cassette combo player that optionally came with this model year and I think it may require the amp. If someone could clear this up, that'd be appreciated! Feel free to reply here or shoot me a PM. Thanks for lookin' |
