Over here in the UK we have 2 models, 140 190 which relates to the bhp. All 7gc celica's are very slow compared to my 6gc Also compared to mine! But in Europe we have the 3S-GE GT 175 bhp, which is even faster as the 192 bhp T-sport version of the 7gc, and I believe the 3S-GE engine never made it to America due to emission issues. However I do like the front look of the 7th gen, but overall I believe the looks of the 6th gen are much, much better Yeah we have the 175bhp 3s-ge engine in the 6gc GT over here aswell... but the 0-60 is quicker on the 190/t-sport that the 175bhp GT. |

I find it strange on here as my 1st thoughts are 'sell it and buy a GT4' but i keep forgetting you cant buy them in America. Is it really expensive to do a full conversion.. ie. 3sgte + AWD + exterior? |

QUOTE(Cutrara @ Mar 19, 2006 - 9:17 PM) Very nice GT-4. I've seen other stock GT-4s with unpainted raiser blocks. It seems pretty common, so I was thinking, Is it like that from the factory, or is it just something some people haven't got around to yet? Either way the car looks great. The GT was sweet too, I love black cars. You say you're going to find your BHP on a "rolling road"? That's a neat term, I like it. Around here most people call them a "dyno". When you get your numbers, post them up, I'm anxious to see them. Nice cars! I think rolling road must just be an english thing then Got my results which im not very happy with... 234.1bhp @ just below 1.0bar Result showed great mid range power but then losing peak power due to "rich fuel mixtures" This will be resolved when i get my Apexi Power FC ECU. |

Why cant you import them from Japan? There are always at least 5 for sale locally (within 20miles) over here because of customs laws. they wont let you import an entire car. but we can import one thats been cut in half (a front clip) and use that for its motor, since customs cosiders that "car parts". thats what swapers like me and a few other ones did. then we swap that motor over to our fwd celicas and have a car thats 2x the power of what it used to be. there were maybe around 1-5 (that we know of) real GT4s that made it into america, because their owners found loop holes in the laws or paid lots of money to make happen. I never knew you couldnt import entire cars Whats traction like with fwd and a gt4 engine? |
