Hey when your heater started to go up; did you notice it in your temp gauge? I'm asking b/c my temp gauge is acting really screwey and I don't know if it's just the thermostat or if its the whole thing.

I'll go but I'd probably stay more then just one night b/c it's going to take me about a day just to drive down there from MD. But as long as I have enought notice (like 2 weeks) any weekend is good for me. I dunno if this helps but I can get a Gov't discount on hotel rooms too.

No my car is way past warantee (94' with 180,000mi). I thought about taking it to a local shop but they cost about the same as the dealer. I trust the dealer a lot more too. Good news though - my engine is still strong as ever. They said it could easily reach 300,000 if I keep taking care of it. YEAH CELICA's!!

I took my car up to the Toyota dealer to get some work done because she was sounding/running awful and before I let them take any more of my money I just want to get some opinions of these prices to see if they are insane or not for parts/labor:

What I got done already:
Cylinder Gasket $24
Grommet $4 ea (x4)
Fipg Oil Pan (not sure what this means) $16
Spark Plugs $10 ea (x4)
Resist Cord Set $72
With labor & tax cost me $426

What I still need to get done:
Replace drive belts $159
Replace oil pan $250
Replace Distributer O-ring $81
Transmission flush/fluid $70
I dunno how much labor will be yet...

Just an FYI - the little "bolts" on F are fake and they will fall off fairly easy... a friend of mine had them. I picked D

I live in Maryland - It'd probably take me about 1.5hrs to get there but at this point I really dont care. I'm about 2 seconds away from paying someone to come to my house to fix this mess, but if you can get me the hook up I'd appreciate it - I dont care about driving that far. Thanks!

I posted this Q in celica.net too -

Here's the scoop - my ex ::tried:: to hook up my amp/box to my celica (neither are blown b/c I just took them out of my old car and they worked fine). I dunno what he did/didn't do right, but the amp light does come on but NO sound comes out of the speakers, my little mode/equ button is now 10x louder than ever before and none of my heat control lights work anymore. Thats the only thing that seems to have happened. Any suggestions?

I love having a 5speed... but I have to admit having an auto in traffic would be nice. There have been a few times I was in traffic for 2 hours and my leg went numb from the clutch. Why can't I ever get stuck in traffice on a down-slope??? Its never enough just to "drift"... anyway - I've always had and always will have a 5speed.
