So I've slowly been working on my 1994 Celica GT to change the head gasket because it blew. This is my first big job on a car and I've noticed that I have a lot of room in my engine. I was wondering if there are any maintenance or performance jobs to be done while I have my head out. I don't want any major mods that will take awhile or VERY expensive mods, just maybe a few things here and there that would help my engine or boost it's performance. Anything help/advise would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 1994 Celica GT and I recently had this problem. My RPMs will go really high while in neutral (or with clutch in while shifting) and I have to pull my gas pedal up with my foot. The first time this happened, which was a few days ago, I fixed it by just lifting up the gas pedal but now it stays at high RPMs. I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem or has any idea what it could be. I've already checked my throttle cable and it is not to tight, and I have cleaned my throttle body just in case it was sticking. Please, if anyone has any ideas as to why this is happening, comment.

Thank you everyone, I have desided to go ahead and try and get some risers that are already filled in.

I am wanting a higher spoiler and the easiest way is to get the GT4 spoiler blocks, however I dont have a GT4 so I am asking if it would be weird or dumb to put GT4 spoiler blocks on my GT?

I have a 1994 Celica GT and I noticed that it has a switch right by where you would rest your left foot and I am wondering if anyone can tell me what it does and if it comes stock like that? Also there is a red light that is right by where you can dim your interior lights, I have the same two questions about it too, what does it do and if it comes stock like that?

Here is the switch

Here is the red light
