QUOTE(cjh4l22 @ Jan 21, 2008 - 10:09 PM) ah-ha! reinforcement bar brackets! are those the ones that hold the bottom of the headlights?? I'm not sure, these are 2 brackets, a left side & a right side, that bolt on to the steel bar that is mounted behind the front bumper, to absorb an impact. I think they mount to the doghouse/radiator support under the high beams, if I remember right. |

The muffler on the Celica was an Apexi N1 muffler, I don't have it anymore. I have a universal one by APC, it's listed above. |

QUOTE(boosted95 @ Dec 26, 2007 - 10:13 PM) I'd pay 50+ for your dash plastics* besides the center upper dash part w/ the air vents, the only other dash related plastic piece that I have is a custom painted pass. door tweeter cover. It is painted Interlagos Fire metallic (gold/magenta). I kind of want to keep it though. The other one was on the car when it was stolen. I also have a hatchback mounted silver painted Toyota logo emblem that might look good on a dash, LOL. |

QUOTE(pittfirefighter @ Dec 24, 2007 - 10:28 PM) interested in the A/C control and black leather door panel.... also... was wondering if you have the vertical support behind the main crash bar that the latch is on?? i couldn't tell if that was one of the brackets you were talking about I just have the left and right side brackets that mount to the crash bar & then to the chassis, I don't have a center bracket, sorry. I bought the 3 pieces from another member here when I bought my stock pre-facelift bumpers, but I didn't need them after all. There is someone else interested in the A/C panel as well, I really want to get pics up of everything before I accept payments because I want to describe them honestly. I should be able to get them next weekend or so. |

Hey all, sorry for not being able to reply sooner, I don't get much spare time to get online anymore. I have all the parts listed above. To answer some questions, I only have these parts. I do not have the car anymore, it was totaled and I let my friend take it in for scrap. There was practically nothing useable from this car, it was rolled several times and came to a hard stop thanks to a tree. The frame was bent, peices of glass and plastic were everywhere. Only one of the custom rims I had on it was still in useable condition. They really did a number on my car. I finally got another car but it's no Celica. It's a '98 Cavalier 2dr, but atleast it is black w/ fresh paint. Well, I will check back later, have a Merry Christmas everyone! |

LOL this is probably a long shot, but if anyone has or knows of a good running stock 5th or 6th Gen Celica (prefer auto trans) for really cheap (rust/dents/faded paint ok, I just want another Celica because I miss mine badly!). I am looking to spend around $1000. As long as it runs reliably and stops good (daily driver material) then I am interested. Color of paint or interior doesn't matter, missing pieces is ok even, I don't mind LOL. Anyone know of any other cheap cars around Jackson, Ann Arbor, Lansing, etc that are in the same price range, I'd be interested in those as well. I just really need a driveable car ASAP. Thanks ! Wow, I thought they would be much less expensive, $700 to $800 is still rediculous for headlights. I mean, we need to get somebody to mass produce projectors, I thought this guy could since he seems to have such a huge customer base. Even if we had to wait few months for headlights, he'd still make his money on them because there are people here who would buy them, including myself. Even if they fit perfect, JDM lights are still illegal here. If we could find a nice, mass producer to do the lights for like $300-$400 that would be awesome. We need taillights too, because not everyone can do a Supra conversion or get the limited and not very attractive "custom" taillights that are out there. Can someone call this guy and ask if he can do taillights? I would imagine those would be somewhat easier, since no projectors would need to be fitted. He does good work, and we need custom taillights. Also, with these clear lenses, is that just for taking the glass stock ones off and putting the clear ones on, for a euro look with oem fitment? How do you get them off? |

I wrote about this guy in another thread, but I'll post it here for everyone else. I cam across a guy named Joshua, his website is: www.izntrbl.com He will make custom projector headlights (with different features, like angel eyes, LEDs, etc) for practically any car. He also makes custom clear lenses for headlights and taillights. He does a lot of J-Body parts, but he can probably make Celica parts for us who want tastefully done custom taillights and who can't afford $700 (give or take) for a full set of JDM Projectors. Want a clear LED 3rd brake light? He'll make it. The only "catch" is that you need to provide the stock headlights. He will add projectors w/ chrome or black bezels, LEDs or Angel Eyes (if you want) and trim rings, for $300, which covers one complete set (pair) of headlights, both left and right. You can even get HID kits as well, w/ quality conversion harnesses. So you can have Celica projector headlights for $300, which don't need to be modified for left hand drive. The cool thing, I did a little research, his customer service is impressive. He will make things right and from what I read, he'll do it at no cost to the customer. If a lense was too thin or scratched, he sent a replacement right away and didn't even ask for shipping. That's cool in my book. I know he doesn't have a Celica but he does have a nice Sunfire on Cardomain, LOL. Look under Member ID# 41511123. I'm not much for 4drs but his cars are nice. I don't know him personally, but the quality of his work speaks for itself. Maybe we can get a group buy going, what do you say guys? |

You know, I came across this guy and his work looks impressive, check and see if he can make you a set of lenses. He does a lot of J-Body parts but he will custom make practically ANYTHING... (Ever hear of projector headlights for a Lincoln Mark VIII? Try finding those elsewhere LOL Just to give you an idea) www.izntrbl.com He will custom make Projector headlights, clear lenses for taillights/headlights/marker lights, custom carbon fiber door handles, fuel doors, eyebrows, chrome housings for DIY headlights, taillights, gauges, etc. This guy has a lot of parts that could come in handy for custom projects, including cold cathode (brighter than LED) Angel Eye rings, LEDs for anything, plus chrome plating of plastic, wood, etc etc etc! I wonder if we could get a group buy on custom made Taillights and Projector headlights that cost less than JDM lights..... Guys this is a no brainer! Check him out! |

Ok, for the last week there has been a metal-scraping like noise (that has been getting louder) coming from under my hood. I took it to a local parts store to get the alternator tested since whenever I push on the brake at night, the headlights dim for a second. Alternator was bad..OK. I got a new alternator, and got it on. Headlights don't dim anymore BUT the noise is still there (although it's a little quieter now). I have narrowed down the noise to the pulley area of the Air Conditioner unit/clutch assembly next to the exhaust manifold (I have a 2.2 5SFE also...), the pulley seems to be a little loose and is making the grinding metallic sound. I am thinking the bearings in the a/c unit are going out, has this happened to anyone here and is it a relatively easy fix to get it out and a new one in?? So far, I have called all of my local parts stores, and have came up with this info: There is a Type 1, Type 2, and a Type 3 air conditioner unit w/cluth or w/o clutch assembly, and the prices range from (remanufatured) about $288 (w/o clutch) to over $750 (new, w/ clutch). Type 1 is normally cheaper, and type 3 is by far the highest, whether or not it is reman. or new. My question is, how in the world do I find out whether my Celica has a Type 1, 2, or 3 air conditioning unit? There is a badge on it with some letters, the refrigerant type, and that it is a Denso part. It doesn't say what type it is. Does anyone here have any leads as to how I can find out the type? I know that I need to replace the condenser and tube as well, that's a given. Otherwise they will dirty up my new unit, and will shorten its life, LOL. So, anyone who can, please Help!! Thanks!! |

Sorry guys I already got the front & rear bumpers, pass. low beam, front bumper reinforcement, and a couple other parts. Hey Kyle, I will need the pass. side door panel too, a friend accidentally gouged a hole in mine, I can pick it up after work sometime, let me know. I actually only need the upper piece, not the map pocket part or the outer door skin. Thanks! Michelle |

I went through all of the back copies of Sport Compact Car, Import Tuner, Modified, etc etc import magazines that I have (some go as far back as 1999) and not a single one that I have has a 6th Gen Celica as a feature car. Not even as a project car. I did find two pictures of custom Celicas that were taken at different car shows & put in different mags, but they don't have any writing describing the cars in either pic. I am wondering if any 6th Gen Celica (hatch, coupe, or convt.) has ever been featured in any tuner magazine? Besides little car show pics? I figure that Car & Driver or Road & Track probably did a road test between '94-'99 but I haven't been able to find any back issues. They only thing like that I have is an advertisement for a '94 or '95 Celica, showing a silver hatch. Does anyone have or know of any? |
