not color not anything else.  just the vin and your driving record.

Thats incorrect, you get higher insurance for being a boy, u get higher insurance for having a red car also.

my insurance company has never asked anyone in my family what color our cars are.....

I have read a few places that putting on a cai will get you a little better gas mileage. has anyone noticed this? I was just wondering how true it was.

thanks

QUOTE (Chrobis @ Apr 27, 2003 - 7:03 PM)
Everybody has heard of cruising and has probably done it once in their driving life, but cruising down sunset blvd in hollywood has got to be the best place ever to go cruising, there is everything to be seen there.... If your ever in L.A. on a friday or saturday night find sunset blvd and drive down it (from downtown go west, and obviously from the coast go East). Some of the richest people in the U.S. cruise and go to clubs on that street...

yeah, sunset blvd is amazing. i was in LA last october and i was on sunset on a friday or saturday night. ferrari's, porsches, lamborghini's. the coolest was a techart 911

vancouver has some sweet cars
i was up there for 2 days last summer and saw just about everthing. 911 turbos, 360, f40, lamborghinis, and if it isn't one of those its a nice bmw or mercedes. probably very similar to places in socal, but very very different than minneapolis

yeah, try to take bumps at an angle
driving yesterday sucked...they are redoing the road right off the parking lot i park in at ats school, so it is all torn up. i had to leave yesterday and i scraped my front leaving, and this is with no drop. i couldn't imagine trying to get out with a kit or drop or both. you'd probably get stuck.
stupid roads

IF ANYBODY BUYS THE HEADLIGHTS LET ME KNOW I WILL BUY YOUR OLD PASSENGER SIDE LOWBEAM ASSEMBLY

bojangles, you and i gotta get together on this deal, cuz i need a drive side low beam. so if anyone wants to get rid of a set of low beams, you got two takers, one for left and one for right

the install would be much harder, and the 3sgte is going to have a lot more potential than a camry engine. so i would see no reason to do it

keep the celi. sure supras are really sweet, but no one will expect the power that you have in your celi, which i think would be really cool. also, you have all the stuff, so if you sell all the parts you have for the celi, you won't be able to get what you paid, so that will just be tons of money wasted on nothing. plus, if the supra has stuff done to it, then what more can you do...i think half the fun would be doing all the stuff yourself.

keep the celi i think, and get that orange paintjob

i didn't mean for that to sound like you should get it if you have a turbo. i don't think anyone should have one. i don't think they'll do anything.
i was talking about the issue that had been brought up about it breaking earlier....here is what i mean.
if you have that in the intake of an NA engine, the fins aren't gonna break. the air isn't flowing through it fast enough. then with my turbo comment i meant that if someone would put one in behind a turbo (stupid/useless), that would be the only time you could make run a risk of a fin breaking because the turbo is pushing air through it much faster.
but even still, i don't think it would break in either situation.

just don't buy one, imo

EDIT: and if you put it behind a turbo, i don't think it would make the lag (if any) any better or worse.

no need for corrections
i would say if you want to do more than minor bolt ons, don't do internal stuff on a stock engine. swap in the 3sgte. like inferno said, it will be the same amount of money for less power

yeah, i wouldn't be afraid of a fin breaking. the speed of the air on an NA engine won't do it. if you put one right behind a turbo of something, then the speed of the air might be able to do something.
