nvm I am on the fence with the Beatrush, it is a nice product. Have always loved the JSPEED look, wish I bought Dustin's when he sold it a decade ago. Thanks for the heads up about the difference, didn't know there were two versions. Likely will end up with the Beatrush though, not in a huge rush. I have had trouble finding a set of recaros in good condition that haven't been reupholstered or the foam is crushed. |

Today I organized the garage and installed (not like it was difficult) a set of Celica Hyper Sport floor mats. Very much hoping this place doesn't fade away. Learned 90% of car/celica knowledge on this site. |

Work so far: -Removed the stickers and vinyl on the car, only saved a TRD badge on the license plate surround, the rest wasn't really my taste (transferred most of the stickers to my toolbox). -Removed the aftermarket "racing pedals", luckily the way they mounted the didn't damage to stock pedals at all. -Removed the aftermarket Electronic Toll Collection, the radar detector and satellite TV antennas that were for the old head unit. -Installed a new head unit since the one it came with was a KENWOOD Japanese market only model that couldn't be switched to English. -Installed a back up camera since my garage is a tight fit and I don't want to hit anything. -Installed my TRD 300 km/h speedo and corrected the odometer so it is exactly the same as the one I removed. -Moved the microphone for the hands free calling from the steering column to the top of the drivers A-pillar so it is more discreet. -Installed OEM style garage door opener (OEM style garage opener) Backup camera install, wired it through the same grommet for license plate light: I used BLOX adapter to convert the holes from JDM to USDM license plate, I have also since slid the camera over so its centered. TRD Speedo install: |

Hey everyone, long time since I have been on here (sad to see the site almost abandoned/empty, but I'm stubborn and refuse to think 6gc.net is a thing of the past). 2019 happened and my 15 year dream of owning an authentic and legal GT4 in the states has come true. No intent to heavily modify it since it's a WRC; plan is to lightly resto-mod and upgrade to some of the nicer later model items and dealer option parts etc.. Likely do a little work under the hood but retain as much of the stock set up as possible. My Previous Celica threads from years ago, funny to see how young and naive I was. Definitely learned a lot working on these and through this forum: Car Progress Thread v1.0 (Black 94' 2nd Gen 3S swap, owned 2006-2010) Car Progress Thread v2.0 (Red 94' 3rd Gen 3s swap, owned 2010-2018) Here is the car in it's current condition (March 2020): Current parts list (March 2020): Engine & Performance -Apexi Intake -Fujitsubo Legalis R Catback Exhaust Handling & Braking -OZ Racing F1 Rims Interior & Electrical -Kenwood DMX906S -Backup Camera -TRD 300 km/h Speedometer -Bride Racing Seat (not staying in car, came with car) -MOMO Ghibli 350mm (I think) Steering Wheel Exterior -EUROU Front Lip -EUROU Rear Lip Maintenance -*updating* |

Super rare dealer option, Air Fantasy for sale on ebay, not that it adds anything to the car other than obscure bragging rights, but I thought I'd pass it along. Air Fantasy OEM FS Ebay |

Radical man, when I get my own place I'll definitely want to try this out! Do you have any other plans for the other buttons? Lol I have the "1" and "2" both set to garage doors since my garage has two separate doors. The "SET" one is not set to anything right now, but is ready to go if I need to program it to a garage or gate etc. I did find a few other momentary style buttons at the junk yard, was torn which one to use, but wanted to be able to use both garage doors. These came out of an older toyota mini van to open the motorized sliding rear doors when pressed. I might take the security one and wire it into the microphone on my head unit for the hands free calling so that I can hide the aftermarket mic it came with that I currently have sitting on the top of the steering column. Not sure it would pick up well enough if I moved if lower on the dash where the other "blank" is, but worth a try since I have a spare Kenwood microphone to play with as well. |

Very cool, I dig it. If you only need a single button for the garage door opener (single door) then you can get custom switches from a variety of sellers with any logo you want. I have seen a lot of those on eBay, but they all appeared to be for later model Toyota’s since the “blank” hole is a different shape/size. Do you know if they make some that fit the 6th gen blanks? |

One of the guys on alltrac.net figured out exactly where I got it, it was from a 99-03 Lexus RX300 for anyone looking for one. Toyota P/N 84927-48010 It is on a panel like this: |

Very clever install! I like it! Thanks man! Definitely fun to be tinkering on a celica again! Took longer at the junk yard than to solder the 4 wires. Super easy project. I found one of the switches on Ebay if anyone is interested in the same idea, but doesn't have the pig tail of wires. Was fairly easy to find at the junk yard. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1999-2003-Lexus-RX...ZwAAOSwRxpcuIb4 EDIT: here is one with the wires https://www.ebay.com/itm/99-03-LEXUS-RX300-...5.c100005.m1851 |

I wanted a more stock looking garage door opener for my new 94' Celica GT4, I didn't want to have a remote clipped to my sun visor forever. I discovered online you can wire a normal battery powered garage door opener into a momentary switch and mount that in the car. I went to the local junk yard and searched the mid 90's early 00's Lexus and Toyota and found a switch that would work in the stock "blank" locations under the dash near the steering wheel. (Pic below) I recommend you bring the blank with you so you can compare while searching. I think it was from a Lexus, but I don't recall the exact vehicle or year range (looks like RX300 99-03 is my best guess). It is a powered seat memory button with three momentary switches, perfect for what I needed. I then opened the garage opener and figured out which parts of the circuit board I needed to solder the wires to and which wires did what on the 3 button switch I grabbed. This switch was simple, the white/black wire was the ground, then each of the other three wires went to one of the three buttons on the front. It was as simple as soldering the white/black to the common ground on the circuit board and then one of each of the other three wires to each pole of the three buttons of the GENIE remote I was using. I like that this switch has 3 buttons so I can use up to 3 garage door/gates in the future. I have a spare I grabbed at the junk yard and plan to try to repaint the button's on the front. I chose to mount in the blank location next to the fuse panel so that I could get to the battery of the garage remote if needed to change the battery. The GENIE remote is 12v, so I believe I could wire it into the car easily enough, but the battery works for me for now. Final result: |

Haven't been on in a while but still have the celica and thought I would toss this one up. I took this photo of my celica in 2013 when I was moving from Florida to Oregon and stopped in the Petrified Forest National Park. Definitely my favorite shot of the car since the backdrop colors match up so well. |

my car was four different colors after the fenders, mirrors and body work as well as stock paint job past its prime... so if it turns out sour, then i'm not worried, its getting a real paint job when i'm done playing with the dip and the wallet allows.. Personally I wouldn't have done this if I had a nice paint job on the car just incase it went south. For my purpose and current needs, its working well |

I've got a vinyl steering wheel in good shape if you are interested, I know you are looking for a leather one, but this one is available and cheap if needed. |
