Just teach her to drive and that way she wouldn't have to worry about her friends asking her to let them drive, lol. |

Ok my gf's car is a 97 St with the 7afe motor. She "blew it up" a couple of months ago and her grandpa "fixed" it by replacing the rod bearings. When she starts it, it has a knocking sound and then it stops and when the revs get to about 4grand it starts again. Now from my experience with motors I think its the rod bearings again and I told her I would replace them. Is there anything that I should know before tearing it apart? Also, what are the torque specs for the rod bolts? Actually I am peronally a honda guy in the process of completing my turbo project on my d16y8 in my 98 ex, but I have love for all cars. |
