Slick, I've been spending a lot of time with a whole lot of importers here in Swaziland, and i've been beging for a GT4 for years... Nothing!! If you can afford it, grab it !!
As for the question, is GT4 rare in Africa? This is the first 6G i've seen and i've worked for one of the importers. 5g is pretty common, in fact, i can get one in really good nick for E 28000 ($ 3932 at todays exchange rate). slick, if you want more info on the 5g, mail me...

OK, I know it's been a while, but I've been rather occupied. Been driving the celi every day for work the last two weeks (My Sentra had
issues, begging for a SR20DET...). I finally found a stretch of open road, no traffic. Put my foot down. got to 5200RPM (just over 180 on the speedo), and then she cut out... Back to the drawing board.

OK Kadett, will get some pics of the steering, the rears don't turn a lot though, just a few degrees. Makes a huge diff in handling though.

It takes a bit of getting used to, coz when you throw it into a corner the first time, it feels like the rear is sliding... Can't live without it now though.

OK, so I cut the wire, (After disconnecting the negative battery terminal just to be safe).
I then got out on the road with great expectations, but alas, as they say...
way too much traffic...I managed a quick 150km/h in a heavily developed industrial area, but no more than 170 on the main roads. got stuck behind crawling traffic the whole way.
So I still don't know what happens at 180.
Will post as soon as i know, i realise Slick is itching to try it out...

http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=32185

Which lead to this... http://evilspeed.com/Speed_defeat.htm

Which I will try out ASAP, (at work now).
Will post results when I have them.

Thanks vincent_doggy, but the problem is importing the parts. Most websites do not recognise our credit cards, we are a very small country within the borders of South Africa, so online purchases when they work are almost not worth it because of shipping costs and electronic transfer of funds.

FYI, we have amongst the highest bank charges in the world...

Besides, I would really like to do it myself, as I am a tinkering enthusiast.....

I have an imported JDM ST203 with four-wheel steering. Best car i've ever driven (and that includes Scooby STi IV, Lancer Evo VII and Supra Twin Turbo). Not a lot of power, but handling out of this world.

Only problem is, it's restricted to 180km/h... There are Speed Cut Defenders available, but I've heard that
all that's required is cutting one wire on the management computer.
If anyone has any info or links it would be greatly appreciated.

I am willing to experiment and post pics and results for other drivers with the same annoying problem.
