I was informed that DCW has stopped all productions of blocks and other parts for the 6gc and im wanting riser blocks very quickly, i saw celiracers kit with the blocks and jdm tails and i knew i had to have it. I was wondering where to get the blocks and jdm tails from...and possibly the clear turns and jdm projectors...i know thats a big question...but im finally in a good position to purchase the items so please get back to me quick!!!

Thanks,
Ryan

Thanks all for your repsonses, ive done alot of research so far, but im still shakey about my swap. im going to wyotech and LOVE to work on cars, but im soooo scared to even touch my own. As the the extra transportation i do have another ride for the time being, but im not sure about some of the other steps. The sticky on this section on the 3s swap wasnt exactly detail by detail, and i know nothing about import engines whatsoever, i learned about 350's and less complicated v8's. Maybe you guys could give me some tips on what to research more in depth, i love cars and i LOVE my 6gen, but it needs to spool!!!

Thanks,
Ryan

Welp guys, the time has come for me to start my first car project ever, on my 94 celica GT hb. I just got my graduation money and im ready to buy a front clip for my celica, problem is im not sure where to look or who to trust because of the fact that if i pay and i get a lemon, i cant graduate again and get more money. I found acouple mr2 rear clip's with the 3sgte in it but i wasnt sure if it was the same thing, seeing it already has the LSD tranny in it i was hoping i could just buy one of those and have both at my disposal. Another problem im having is performance parts, wheather it is cams/camgears etc. do i order the cams for the 3sgte engine in for the mr2? Im sure it seems dumb to you guys seeing you are damn near pro's at the 6gen but i want to get this right the first time. Or well, im screwed lol. Im hoping to find a good front clip so i can complete the swap in one weekend, seeing as i dont have another vehcile for work. Please let me know if you have any tips about any special tools i might need to buy or any parts that wont come with a clip that ill need to save and order when i order the clip.

Thanks,
Ryan

Im going to agree with them on the 3s-gte, i am also in highschool and also have a 94 hatch, i thought about turboing my 5s but realistically if u have a 94' chances are your going to have a substantial amout of wear already on ur engine, and if your anything like me u drive the hell out of it. if you turbo ur 5s your prolly gna need a new 5s engine to start with, also finding stronger interanals that will hold the boost, not to mention re-flashing ur cpu and upgrade a few more things. i knew a guy at a import company that will give you the AWD conversion, 2nd or 3rd gen 3sgte, and the RHD conversion all for 2400....so just be realistic when u decide....although turboing a 5s would be a neat acomplishment...hope that helped.

Thank you for the information, but will these gauges fit into my 94 GT? since i live in the US i dont have the GT-four dash like you. I noticed on the right side on the set you have a fuel/temp gauge and also ur mini boost gauge as well, i dont not have a 3rd needle in my stock dash, please let me know what i might need to do to fit those custom gauges.

Well where to start, im a 17 year old kid living in the middle of no-where with no other 6gen celicas around...at all. I have a 100% stock 94 GT hatchback 5spd and am moving to wyoming next year to attend wyotech university. I need some help with the GT-4 Body kit, is there a certain site to order the full package? and as well as the GT-4 raisers, they are alittle high for my taste, is there any where i can order shorter ones? I would like to exterior of this car to be done before i move to have a good start on a bad ass car to be. I would appreciate all the help i can get. Thanks guys

I have a stock 94 celica GT hatchback, i bought it used from a mechanic which assured me nothing was wrong. But it seems like my engine is alittle messed up. When i am on the highway my motor runs at like 4,500 RPM when only going around 70 mph. And i dont have a 6th gear and i dont want to suck down that much gas or do damage to my engine. Is there something wrong there or is that normal for the stock celica engine?

what i wanted most was a car i mainly use for drag type purposes, around here alot of people work on cars and im really getting into my 6gen, i have the base engine and bought the swap already, basically i want a bigger turbo, maybe T3/4. i just wanted to know acouple of good places to get it done. im not exactly skilled in metal work. we have a drag strip that they hold monthly races at and i would like to survive at least the first acouple rounds tongue.gif .
