I need to replace the oil pan gasket in my Celica. The FSM says to disconnect idler arm bracket, disconnect two motor mount bolts and raise engine 1 inch. 1)Where is the best place to jack the engine? 2) I recently had the flange rewelded to my engine downpipe at the manifold. I'd hate to undo the shop's good work. Would I be putting stress at the joint? 3)Anything I should be cautious about? (crankshaft counterweights, oil pickup, etc?) |
