I've been curious about all the differences. How does sequential injection make any difference?

Do you have the factory service manual. There is all kinds of diagrams with notes on the differences. I could take some pictures of them for you if that might help

The temperature knob fell off of my control unit so I pulled it out and picked up all the pieces that fell below it. I think I found everything and got the knob back in but now there is a random piece with no apparent place. Anyone know where it goes?

Heres all the pieces I pulled out.

I recently found this on the ToyotaNation forum somewhere but haven't seen much talk of it here. All you have to do is download an extension for your browser and the pics will show up again as normal.
Here are some links to the various extenstions for each browser I'm using Opera.

I have nothing to do with any of these just thought I would share since I've witness everyone's frustration.

The ABS light never comes on on my '99 liftback. I checked near the power steering reservoir and I found that box with all the brake lines so I'm almost certain the car has it. The dealer manual says if you connect 2 pins on the diagnostic port it would blink. I did that and only the SRS and Cruise lights blinked. Could it be the light is burned out or something?

Why not just get the pinout for the Celica's radio plug and matching the wires with the pinout for your tundra radio?

Nevermind most of that it seems like my motor still works it's the switch that's malfunctioning

So my passenger side power window suddenly stopped working and of course it was rolled half way down when it started. I followed this post post and pulled the assembly and window out. Tomorrow I'll hook the motor up to the battery and see what that does but assuming that the something needs replacement is there anyway to force window up even if it means not being able to roll it down anymore? I can live with that

UPDATE: turns out nothing is wrong with my window switch or anything the window lock was down. Ugh

I always thought it was the radio causing my problem but I was wrong I took everything including the amp out and it still eats fuses. Now I'm gonna try tracing the wire. I believe it's green and yellow

The 10 amp fuse for my interior lights keep blowing so far I've blown a whole pack laugh.gif . The weird thing is I recently replaced the radio and while I was waiting for the new radio to be delivered I had nothing connected to its connector and the fuse never blew but as soon as I hooked up my new stereo though the fuse blew again.

ok I bought the fancier dongle and now it works. According to Torque the Celica's protocol is J1850 VPW(10.4Kbaud).

Would try cleaning the OBD-II port with contact cleaner and putting the dongle in and out as pins could be corroded. If that doesn't get it would look into Torque or some other free apps. All else fails this one is guaranteed to work on all vehicles: https://www.amazon.com/BAFX-Products-34t5-B...=obd+ii+scanner

Screw it might as well spring for a nice one. Should be easy to return as well. While I was researching all the OBD stuff I came across others talking about Toyota Techstream. Is there anything cool you can do with that?

What app are you using? I used dash commander and it worked fine.

I tried that app and I got this. Do you remember which dongle you used?

Does anyone know the protocol 6th Gen Celica's use? I bought a cheap OBD to Bluetooth dongle and it powers on in my '99 liftback but none of the apps I try to use it with will connect to the engine. After some research I've came to the conclusion that the cheap dongle doesn't have the right hardware for my car's protocol. I think I'll try buying a different one I just need to know what protocol I should look for.

This is the dongle I bought and these are the protocols it supports
1.SAE J1850 PWM(41.6Kbaud).
2.SAE J1850 VPW(10.4Kbaud).
3.ISO9141-2(5 baud init,10.4Kbaud).
4.ISO14230-4 KWP(5 baud init,10.4 Kbaud).
5.ISO14230-4 KWP(fast init,10.4 Kbaud).
6.ISO15765-4 CAN(11bit ID,500 Kbaud).
7.ISO15765-4 CAN(29bit ID,500 Kbaud).
8.ISO15765-4 CAN(11bit ID,250 Kbaud).
9.ISO15765-4 CAN(29bit ID,250 Kbaud).
10.SAE J1939 CAN(29bit ID,250*Kbaud).
11.USER1 CAN(11*bit ID,125*Kbaud).
12.USER2 CAN(11*bit ID,50*kbaud).

It connected fine in a Chevy Prism I tried it in but wouldn't work in my friend's Honda Civic either

Hello everyone, first post, love the site I am wondering how I would go about painting the interior panels a nice red color as this user has. I'm mostly concerned with painting the panel with the radio which I do know how to remove just not sure of the best way to make it a cool red color
