Sold for 2900. Not bad. Is it just me or is the 6gc community not as active on the forums as it used to be? |

Hi guys, it's been a long time... and unfortunately, we meet again under significantly different circumstances. Here is a link to my craigslist post: Craigslist Post I am leaving the country within the next 2 weeks, and am not sure if I'm coming back. I would rather this car get passed on to a fellow 6gc enthusiast than any one else... I am willing to go down on price if you are from this forum. Don't be afraid to ask any questions. PS, the 2 elemental designs subs and the street glow are not included with the car. I now have a setup with 1 image dynamics idq12 and a us acoustics 800d amplifier. I am sad to see this car go, but if I stay in europe I will work on getting a gt4 . I love my 6gc to death. |

Hey buddy, I was cruisin ebay and found these for you. I had to get some sun visors a while back, I know how much of a bitch it can be... dealers want to rip you off, and junkers do 3/4 of the same thing out here in sacramento. Sun visors on ebay. Much love, Ed. |

Find a friend who knows about computers... he may be able to salvage what little you have left, without you paying an arm and a leg. If not, get a bootable windows cd and have it format your hard drive and reinstall windows xp. That's the best computer illiterate way to deal with the problem. Ed. |

LOL, I only come back every few months to see what's new... The sony deck is OK. I used to have a sony deck and loved it. I didn't know anything about car audio back then, though. The subs are OK. Get decently loud, SQ is bearable (as said before). PG amps, especially the old ones, have been known to be decent. That amp will suit your system well. All in all, the components are OK. The PG amp is the best of the set. |

great sub for the money: elemental designs 12k.v2. That crunch probably only puts out about 300w or so RMS, (make sure u figure that out before buying a sub). Find out the wattage output per channel and then get your subs with the right voice coil configuration. Check out edesignaudio.com for those 12k´s... IMO they are better than those kickers...and they have a 3 year factory direct warranty. Ed. |

yes, I was going to say blown fuse for the lights (especially since your headlights worked). as for the stereo, u may want to see how picky your amplifier is about voltage. that causes them to shut off or not play for a while, then play again... your alternator may be bad as well. If ur alternator is going bad, check the condition of ur battery. ed. |

not to burst any bubbles, but in the trailer for one of his movies it seems evident that this guy uses some strings too. He jumps from shoulder to shoulder!?! gasp! Oh, and the 4th clip in the "making of" he is pinned between a table and another table held by a person, and it is pretty evident he is using padding, buddy. nonetheless, the guy is amazing. |

i beg to differ, you also want to look at the voltage stability of your electrical system. some amps are picky about voltage and can go into protect easily. It's nice to know what kind of voltage ur getting. I don't really know if you NEED it though. |

decent deck, pioneers new ones are really outstanding quality. Only bone to pick with that deck is the fact that there are only 2 pair rca's. i like mine to have 3. And ya, ur gonna have to cut some wire... ed. |

1) There are subs designed for ported applications that sound just as good (and louder) ported than they do sealed. Some would even claim that it sounds better ported. Porting is an art, and requires technical spec calculations in order to be properly done. Check your sub's response to sealed and ported enclosures. 2) SQ will depend on your tuning. You will NOT always lose SQ. 3) Generally speaking, your ported setup will be as loud as DOUBLING the wattage going to your setup (given it is done correctly both ways), or an estimated increase of 2-3 dB. This is why most competitors port. A ported box takes up a LOT more space though. 4) GUYS STOP CLAIMING THAT PORTING WILL MAKE YOU LOSE SQ. This is an ignorant statement. If you have to ask, just seal them. Chances are you won't care about the difference. Much love, Ed. |
