It's not a huge drop, just a little, same thing at night when headlights are on, foot on break, or when I turn on my fog lights, which are 100 volts, so that's understable.

Make sure all the fluids are full.

When im in traffic, foot on break pedal and air is going(not ac, just the fan) usually on 2 or 3, it sucks a lot of power from the engine and my rpms drop down. Battery is somewhat new and alternator is brand new. Is there any way to change that? I think I had this same problem with my ST back in the day.

Alright, set catalyst monitor today, went to smog, PASSED !! Thanks to everyone for helping out, glad this is behind me!

In CA, your evap can be incomplete, but your catalyst has to be complete.

Anyone done this before, I need help, been a few days, been in traffic and on freeway. Last step before getting smog.

Hey everyone, got good news, EGR light is gone! Got an oem vsv and a ecu from ebay for $40, installed them both on the same day, and no more cel! I'm just waiting for all the monitors to set up so I can go to smog. Thanks for putting up with my annoying posts, and huge thanks to everyone who pitched in and tried to help with ideas. Thank you Slavie, if not for those links you shared, I probably never would have figured this out! Thank you everyone! !

Just wondering, I work about 70 hours a week, at two restaurants.

How much for the shift boot? What Color is it?

The one on the intake manifold is the Vacuum switching valve, it's not the same. Why do you think the purge vsv is the issue?

Can you feel the clutch stick when coming out of first? I drove a truck with a slipping clutch once, was not fun.

Are you losing coolant? Steam from exhaust? Are you capable of doing the work yourself? If so, take the water pump off and check it, the fan, or fins, propeller, what ever you'd like to call them, are probably shot. But, you'd be messing with the timing belt, and that can be an absolute nightmare if you don't get it on properly. You'd also need a timing light.

Just got my oem vsv delivered, and my ecu is on the way, I'll post an update when I have results.

Just found one on ebay, several actually. I'm not in need of this anymore.

Check your fuel filter, and compression in cylinders too.

What is the pn? Why is it so significant?
