well, it doesnt seem possible, so the question is "would you get a new steering wheel, and sacrifice CC?"

but the thing is, the current one is covered in duct tape to cover up the airbag deployment.

Okay, I admit, I know very little about customization, I think I could do the change myself with directions and all, but I couldnt do a custom job where I relocate the switch. If anything, like was said, I guess I could hope to take out the board and maybe a little of the frame and somehow mount it in between the new wheel and hub....is that possible?!

ugh...why must the celica have stuff built in that makes customization hard! first the shifter with o/d and now this....

Alright, I've heard some responses with the shifter and it sounds like theres hope, although it still sounds like it needs work. But my new question is with the steering wheel, I am looking at getting a momo jet steering wheel, but I've noticed that my cruise control looks like it's attached to the steering wheel. I guess this isn't really a surprise, but I want to get the new one and still have cruise control, I take plenty of long trips and my cruise is a great tool for me.

Is there a way that I can get the new steering wheel and keep my C.C.?

Yeah, but I am comparing mine to all automatic shifters, not just the celicas.

I wish to get a new steering wheel, and I want it to be close to the size of the original, but I dont know the size of it...

The new ones are 320mm and 330 mm, I figure they're close, but I dunno....

does anybody know what the diameter of the original steering wheel?

I am also getting the hub of course, but its only 3 cm wide, isn't that too thin? what is the width of the area behind the steering wheel from the wheel to the wiper controls/lights/etc?

Here you go for some ideas mate, made myself using the backing of some standard lenses, filler, pcb board, homemade circuit, leds, clear perspex.

Put perspex in an oven at 140 degrees c for about 20minutes and it will be soft enough to bend easily. Make sure its perspex though as I had polycarbonate and that needs heating slowly overnight before it will bend otherwise it just bubbles internally.

And if I were you, I wouldn't scuff the outside of the plastic as you said, I tried it and it will just end up looking white, even if you paint the inside red.

Which LED kit did you use...that is so amazing... you should make a sticky on that, it KICKS @$$!

but will i have to go to aerokraft-kaze.com to get lens like that, because the exterior lens looks different than a standard jdm.

Is it possible to just get the exterior lens?? (Not the housing)

I would like to do the LED conversion, but the current red lens that come with the ST202-205 Just suck with those.

THATS IT! Thats EXACTLY what I was looking for in tail lights. Where is it possible to get something like that done/how was it done, etc...

Step one- buy JDM tail lights
Step two- slaughter them
Step three- hope you don't f*ck up JDM tails
Step four- put back together

That is going to be more expensive than every other tail light, because those are custom. Not mass produced.

Hmm...but it looks soooo appealing, where can I get the LED kit and the replacement clear cover lens?

How do I know which specific model my car is? ST202? ST205?

Is there a place in the manual or on the car that tells me?

All I know is that its a 97 liftback

Thanks
