This is out of my own vehicle and worked fine upon removal. My price is under the average by a significant amount. Can ship upon payment. First money: good money. Have a 96 3SGTE swap I'm parting out, so if you need anything ask. New windshield (they are very hard to find now). |

Sorry for the long downtime on the forums, there were database errors that were a total pain to fix, but I finally got them all fixed up this morning. Cheers! I have been a member for 3-4 years now and I am FINALLY about a week away from importing my very own ST205. Just a few minutes ago I thought "awww man, no forum at 6gc to show it off too! But alas, it is back! Praise be to Coomer (I'm in Seattle as well ... see you on the field of battle!). But for real: thank you so much for coming back. I honestly needed these forums many times over the last year and was lost without it. Thank you .. thank you .. thank you! |

About 6-8 months ago, I installed an EBC solenoid for the already-wired in Greddy ProFec B Spec II in my ST205 front clip conversion (JDM 3SGTE, 3rd Gen, stock ECU) 1996 GT. During the week I had it in, it developed a misfire at idle (and a sputtering cutout between 2800-3100 RPM). The misfire appears to be as soon as it switches into closed-loop EFI mode and is as dramatic as someone flipping a switch: one second it is fine, and the next: cough, sputter, choke and AFR usually around 16-18 from 14.7. It is usually worse the hotter the engine is. It seems to be intermittent and can go a day or two without issue. As soon as I step on the gas and get it north of 3k it is typically fine and I'm good. Please advise. Aaron |

I want to say thank you to all you guys who responded. I had an illness in the family and duty called. Please accept my apologies for this late reply. Okay. Well, with every forum post, one has to balance the length of their post and its provision of sufficient facts to let others make the assessments we seek. No doubt, we have all asked questions, received answers, and rebutted with facts not known to the responder at the time of their response. This is one of those replies. To Slavie, the original responder (and fellow 6GC'er, who said via PM "post this to the forum") I say: I do believe you are on to something. All I have available to me at the moment is my multitester. I do know it is not the correct tool, but in this case, it is better than nothing and, I believe, shows something interesting. I uploaded a video to YouTube and am posting the link. Please take a look if you have the time. To Bitter: man, all I have in my possession is my trusty multitester. I know it ain't the right tool, but I think I do see something odd in its reading. If you might also check out the YouTube video I published, I would appreciate it. Maybe there is something of a clue. To Consynx: Stock turbo for JDM ST205, so, CT26? The EBC solenoid is not the issue right now (unless it damaged something and this is the outcome) as I removed it after a week, as soon as the misfire started. Plugs have been changed ... twice. Good to hear someone had a positive experience with a slipping clutch; mine always meant money, and pulling the engine (which I just did two months ago). To Enderswift: resistor has been gone since before this started. 12v constantly (and yet I still find the strength to go on ... listening to my Walbro sing at full-tilt boogie whenever the engine is running ... by simply opening my exhaust cut-out and punching the gas! ;-) ). One of the first things I checked was fuel pressure consistency. It appears to be within spec (BGB). One oddity regarding fuel pressure: when I physically touch the rubber fuel line after the fuel filter on its way to fuel rail, I can feel a definite hard "clicking" type pulse to it. If I had to describe it, it would be, like, someone smacking the line 5 times per second with a pencil, or a screwdriver. Listening to it with an automotive stethoscope yielded a definite, loud, clicking/metallic smacking sound ... existing only in the fuel hose. Have no clue. I would ask you as well to please watch this YouTube video and see if it provides any clue. And now, since I spent so much time on my computer without charging it, I have to get going to my home so I can charge it again and provide new information/hopefully read a reply which knows why my O2 sensor is spiking to 2-3 volts as my engine stumbles and goes lean. I realize this video is boring, so just say so and I will post either a link to me almost wiping out in my Celica in Ohio on the way back from NJ to Seattle, a link to me giving the business to a Lamborghini Gallardo who decided to flex on me for no reason, or, and this one is probably the most interesting and funny, what happened when a hot girl came up to me and said "I'll su** your di** for a ride" last year ... just sayin' ;-) Thank you all for your replies. I need them. A@ron https://youtu.be/aafZE3G5oV4 |

Howdy ... I don't have an extra set, but I have my set, which I could take measurements amd photos of for you so you can make a set. Since the premium sound speaker and bracket are integrated, you have to cut the speaker out anyway (assuming you are not wanting the ancient stock speakers and just want the mounts). I don't know if you have looked closely at the speaker/bracket, but it is very, very simple. A small piece of sheet aluminum, a hammer, dolly, files, drill and an hour and you're in business. It's an option, anyway, if you don't find what you want). |

Let me add my two cents in here. I spent the $500, to probably the most widely recognized "guru" of swap harnesses: Doug Copeland/Wiregap. Besides not returning my fuse box, spark plug wire stays, and alternator housing wire stays, I had no accomodation for intercooler level/pump (code 54 all the live-long day) and my Engine Coolant Temperatiure Sensor wire was pinned to throttle position sensor. There were several broken connectors as well. In the end, I had to learn it all anyway ... just to fix the errors of the "pro". But for certain: it is a good knowledge base to possess. If you plan on keeping your swapped car for any length of time, knowing its wiring is essential to troubleshooting the everyday gremlins we are bound to find as we enjoy our machines. Save the money. Do it yourself. It is "doable", for certain. J3rkyBoy |

I have the actual TRD GT4 lowering springs. They work very, very well and have less than 5 thousand miles on them. $250; GodSpeed coilovers with less than 2 thousand miles on them. $300; Alternator is used, but good. $30; A/C compressor was installed for one (1) day and was purchased at Napa Auto Parts. $100. Let me know as soon as you can as I am moving and need to free up space. Thanks! |

Howdy ... Last year my ST205 conversion burned. Too bummed for words. But, I have rebuilt it and am turn-key ... except for my aluminum hood, which has a hole a basketball could fit through burned in it. If anyone has an OEM GT4 hood for a price regular people can afford, I would do backflips for it. Secondly: I have both front seats, and the lower padding from the back seat for free if you want them. Fronts got wet, but the padding is still okay and the framing is all good. These would be good for anyone wanting to do a reupholster. Get at me if you want them. If you are in WA state and can pick them up: perfect! Thanks, folks! |

I am kinda new to 6GC, but I would certainly be sad to see it go. I caught the Celi bug late, but I am definitely ... infected? ;-) |

Howdy ... my name is Aaron and we talked a few months back about my buying your ST205 Hood. I am the guy in Washington state who had the car fire and am rebuilding. Well, I am in fact rebuilding, and I don't know what I can do to impress upon you how badly I need your hood ... but it is quite badly. Your last email indicated you might be amenable to it, but only expressed concerns for sending something so big through parcel service. If I can solve that problem for you, are you still on board? I can cash you out as soon as we figure it all out. Please call or text me at 253.625.0744 Aaron |

I'm selling a beater chevy cobalt on offerup right now for cheap. as a tag at the end of the posting i wrote "to all you disrespectful lowballers who waste my time: please know that i absolutely have no problem with saying 'yes' and then running you around for awhile. if you disrespect me with your lame offers, i will disrespect you back in my own way. that stuff is fun to me." I guess I am just telling this story to give everyone ideas about how to stamp out life's spam in all its myriad forms. |

Dear Everyone: (Sorry post is so long) I fell in love with the 6th Gen about a year ago. Last September I flew from Seattle to NJ to buy 6GC member purplegt4's old '96 GT4 front end conversion. I drove it 3000 miles home. I just spent the last 3+ months toiling away in a garage doing all the things to make it "mine" ... the last was the black & silver wrap, stereo, GPS tracking, telemetry, and alarm. Then, two days after I "finished" it had a fuel leak and burned on the street as I clawed at the hood, fenders, etc. trying to put the fire out. What I really (really) need is: a GT4 wiring harness (it has a 1995 JDM GT4 front clip / 3rd Gen 3SGTE). I need the harness, but more accurately, I need "everything that burns in 3 minutes", so, harness, fuse block, coil, igniter, other sensors and things located on the driver's side of the engine compartment near the firewall. i have to figure out my game plan here to see if I can even rebuild it. GEICO isn't even covering a rental car (this was my daily driver). Please, if you know of anyone who might have something I need to rebuild, please send me the info. I have to get something rolling before GEICO screws me all the way and I end up with nothing. Thank you all. Aaron G. Leigh aaronglenleigh@gmail.com |

Beautiful car! I am in Seattle, WA., but am seriously interested in your car. I was just looking for an engine, since I just blew my 5sfe, but your car is basically exactly what I want mine to be, so perhaps I will try to purchase it and simply be happy. Please shoot me a message at your earliest convenience and let's see what we can work out ... Very sincerely, Aaron G. Leigh |
