I've pretty much always had rainwater leaking in but we're going through a big rainstorm right now so you could imagine it really sucks right now haha.

Water leaks through The clips used to secure the top in place when it isn't open. See the vid for a better visual idea.

I cut a big plastic cover out to cover the front part of the soft top when it's raining (I just close the door in on it on both sides to keep it in place) but it still leaks through those two holes where the clips are.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. For the past 6 months or so I've had to put the top up and down manually (the switch in the trunk is set to manual) if that info is of any possible use.

Thanks guys.

Yep... My 99 vert lights turn on when they're pushed forward and on with the door when theyre pushed backward (towards driver).
But my light switch has worn away so bad, there's not notches for setting it between the three modes. It's like tuning into an old radio and you don't know if the light is set until it actually turns on, there's no click or anything to it

So I've swapped my rear speakers, but there's a quiet-medium loud rattle anytime there's any bass. First I tightened the metal mounting bracket for the actual speakers and that helped a lot... But it still rattles when the panels are on. I take the panels off and they sound great.

Anyone have any experience with solving this please

Not sure if the speakers physically hitting the speaker covers when they're playing loudly or if the bass is just causing the entire panel to rattle. Any way of finding out?

thx guys

Madisoundspeakerstore parts-express Dunno if this fits, but here's an example. Also check out the "speakers" section. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.c...number=292-2592 As a bit of extra knowledge: when looking at the specs, try to find something that has 4 ohms impedance and a Qts of about .707 Like these: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.c...tnumber=290-356 ===== These are actually PERFECT speakers for what you need them: Qts of .70, 3.5mm xmax, 4ohm impedance... only issue might be the mounting depth but if you can make them fit they will definitely sound good. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.c...tnumber=290-310

Thanks for the info, have the GW208-4's on order, I have been looking for a reasonably priced replacement since my OEM's foam dry rotted out.  - about five years ago, and I didn't want to have rebuild the audio system since it was great to begin with.

How are the GW208-4s? Was there enough room in the vert for them? Sound good? Considering getting this since I ripped out my stock 8s because they were torn to oblivion.

I replaced my back 6.5s with Rockford Fosgate Prime R165X3's because the old ones in the back rattled like crazy. My two 8"s up front still rattle a lot and I'm looking for an inexpensive and easy swap. Doesn't hve to sound godlike, I'm getting a sub later on to put in the back. What 8"s do you guys recommend to swap in?

in near Knotts Berry farm. sorry i totally forgot about this thread. im about to install my audio system sometime this week.

Nice man. What do you have in there right now and what are you putting in? I'd like to swing by and see what's up. Maybe if you don't need the old ones I could take them off your hands since the ones in mine are all messed up

First post here, got a 99 GT convertible as my first car a few months ago. So glad to have a forum for the 6gc.

Anyways, the two speakers in the back on the sides are rattling and farting all over the place when I play bass-heavy music. I swapped the stereo with a free one I got a while ago, some off brand one.

I want to replace those back two obviously but while I'm at it I might as well change the other ones up front on the doors too. How big are the ones in the back, and the three on the doors? Appreciate it
