You're confusing US law with Canadian law. WE get the 15 year exemption Amen, brotha there was a 6th gen GTfour for sale on J-Specimports earlier in the week. It wasnt a good one at all, but it was the first one! Had wood trim, the lip kit sucked, and was just not pretty. |

A Mis-shift is when you miss the gear your shifting into. Say you rev to 8,400 and go to shift from 3 to 4. You miss 4 and put it into second by mistake. WHOOPS! You blew your motor! |

IMO take a few hundred bucks and take a bike course in the spring. They supply you with a bike (Usually under 600cc's) for the course and you learn on their bike. This way you find out if its actually something you can/will be able to, do |

QUOTE(trdcelica94 @ Oct 29, 2007 - 11:50 AM) just be careful though try not to get into accidents because i heard when u put it near the front windshield and u get into an accident it can injure u . thats what the cop said to my dad. Im pretty sure he tries not to get into accidents anyway, man. That said, I noticed a trend with most cars that once they get repainted they tend to get into an accident in the first couple weeks out of the paint booth. if you have a second car drive it for a month or so before yo uget back in the celica lol, dont want to see another topic "Just got the car painted and now its totalled!" |

Haha! I too bought a 7th gen, 2000 GTS 6 speed, leather. And holy **** your guys' cars are cheap! I bought mine with 124,000Km's on it (77k Miles) for $13,500 Canadian(Which is DAMN cheap for us!)! I havent changed my lift bolts yet either, and am not sure if the guy before me has. But once i see problems with lift I'l definately change it. It wont HURT it, it just wont let you engage lift therefore no fun past 6200 RPM's. |

QUOTE(jdg371 @ Oct 10, 2007 - 9:52 PM) 1/4 Mile wise, a 00 GTS can achive a 14.8 pass STOCK with a good driver.. I can see the V6 Running low 14s to high 13s.. Im pretty sure the best 1/4 Mile time to date on a stock GTS was 13.9. Average is 14.6+. But then again I might be thinking with bolt ons...(IHE) I just remember a huge bitch fesh over on newcelica.org where one guy was saying that its IMPOSSIBLE to do a 13.9 1/4 mile run on a stock gts, where there has been proof with some guys that have done it plenty of times. Idiots. Anyway, I wouldn't mind givin a run vs the v6, would be fun. Im sure he'd take me, but by how much!?!? |

QUOTE(frosty @ Oct 8, 2007 - 7:11 PM) hmmm... a 2zz-ge with vvtl-i. I've just read too many problems with this motor. Too many things break with time. (still a neat motor though) V-6 swap....nice! gt-4 conversion.... very nice The last posted pic should have had the white celica swaped positions with the 2000+ celica I've never had a problem, nor heard of any problems with the 2zz-ge, minus the lift bolts breaking down after a while but Toyota has a fix for those with special bolts. If they do break all that happens is you lose lift at 6,200 RPM's. Doesnt damage anything. Timing Chain, so that wont break and it is fun as hell to drive. Fun time taking pictures though remy. Fun time. |

QUOTE(bloodMoney @ May 19, 2007 - 1:06 PM) rumor has it that jdm cars are easier to import from canada than directly from japan. there are a couple of dealerships that have been talked about on the alltrac board but I cant remember off the top of my head. But the importing process seems to be easier for the japan to canada portion. Although you will still need to deal with EPA, it is rumored to be easier because the US and Canada are very similiar as far as importing vehicles is concerned. In fact, they are a bit more strict over there as far as crash tests go... that's why there are no legal SRT-4's or EVOs in canada. just my 2psi... ~bloodMoney No SRT-4's? Get your facts strait. Evos are not avail in Canada, yes. But SRT-4's are legal. 100%. They are just as common as most other cars out here. |

QUOTE(m0dd3d1 @ Jul 5, 2007 - 5:31 AM) I feel that way sometimes too. You've just got to get out and do stuff. I pretty much left everything behind when I moved to a different country (not that I'm not used to it). Go on a road trip with either yourself, or like 1/2 other people and clear your head. He means one or two other people, not half a person. That **** will get you arrested. |

Forgive me if Im wrong, but isnt your insurance invalid once you get onto the track? I was under the impression that once you drove onto the track your car is no longer covered by your insurance company. ANd I THINK that some track's provide an insurance policy that you can purchase Im probably way off base here |
