lol, It does sound suspecious... i was thinking after I called up how easy it would be to report stolen plates after getting flashed by a speed camera!!

I got new plates fitted straight away, though not happy with how I did the front one but I'll re-adjust it at the weekend.

hey dude's.. I recently bought my Celica, a 99 ST. I realise that power wise I'm not going to get much more out of it which I'm fine with.. however I do want to customise it a little...

What suggestions can you guys make, the ideas I currently had were

1) Exhaust, I want a Oval stainless steel exhaust... any one know any any makes that do one.. does it have to be ST specific or would a GT exhaust fit?
2) To give it that nice sound I quite fancied an induciton kit... I notice that pipercross don't do an ST specific model but K&N and Green do! Can you fit a GT kit to an ST?
3) My ST has got all round disc brakes (sweet, must be on the late models as the earlier ones just had drums I thought. My friend always recommended Black Diamond.. however I also see Greenstuff are pretty popular. Is there much difference? Also what are the benfits to having groved and/or drilled discs?
5) How easy is it to change the internal lights/LEDs to red? I've seen the how-to guide and looked pretty simple.
6) I fitted a new headunit but it protrouds out from the dash, anyway to set this back?

Any other worth while mods?

I'm UK based and new to this car modding thing (it wasn't worth it on my escort) so if anyone can recommend any websites as to where to get hold of bits and pieces, especially JDM or TRD parts that would be awesome.

Cheers

Hey All,

So I came back to my Celica after a **** day at work today to find both my number plates missing... I reported it to the police who said this was very common and not much to worry about?

My initial thoughts that I'd the police on my door tomorrow morning arresting me for a bank robbery however from looking on the web it appears the more common use for this is

- Congestion charge avoidance
- Petrol Station drive offs
- Parking fines

Has this happened to anyone else, am I in for a flood of speeding, parking and congestion charge fines?

Is it worth re-registering the car wth a new plate?

Cheers?

No worries guys, i think i've found what I need...

Autoleads do a universal DIN adaptor, FP-006 and a harness adapter PC2-17-4.

Thanks for your help.

Hey Guys,

I've just bought a Gen 6 Celica ST. I wanted to change the sound system, starting with the headunit. Now apologies if i've missed this on the forum, I have searched and found all the guides on how to but I can't find if I'm going to need a dash kit with facia panel to install an aftermarket stereo.

I'm assuming I do, and I'm also assuming that auto leads do one... but does anyone know what model I need and where I can get it from.

Also I will need the wiring harness, is the Autoleads PC2-17-4 the correct model?

Many Thanks
