Ok, I changed the plug wires and checked if the coil is sparking and it definitely is, but I'm still getting spark from only 1 plug wire, so now I'm thinking the ignition control module. Does that sound like something that could be wrong? |

Thanks for the responses! I'm not even getting spark from the plug wires without them being attached to plugs, just using a tester. Any other ideas? |

I was just wondering if anyone had experienced this problem and could give me some advice on how to fix it. My car was running fine and then one morning when I went to start it, there was nothing. We tested for spark and found out it was only sparking on 1 cylinder. We didn't think it would be the plugs or wires, because that would mean that 3 went out at the same time. So we decided it was the distributor. We changed the distributor (and cap) and still nothing. Any help that anyone could give me I would REALLY appreciate. thank you so much in advance!! |

Hey guys, I was just wondering if there was a gasket between the distributor and the block? I just got a new distributor in the mail that has no gasket, but it looks like it might have had silicone on it. I don't have my car with me so I can't look at the old one. Advance auto told me there wasn't one that they could find in their computers, but I'm skeptical. Any help would be great! thanks! |

Hey All, Looking to get rid of two (or one if thats what you need) stock 15" BBS rims. There are three in the pics, but I only want to sell 2. They have been stored in the garage so they are still in great condition (just a little dusty). I can get better pics if you are interested in buying. I took them off awhile ago because I got new rims. So let me know if you are interested! thanks! |

Have you ever replaced a distributor? Is there a write-up for it somewhere on the site? Do you want your payment by paypal or check? Because if its paypal, it takes me a couple of days to transfer money from my bank into my account so I want to get it started. thanks! |

I recharged my AC last year, because it wasnt blowing cold air, but now its blowing cold air. The problem I'm having is that it works great on the passenger side, but no air comes out of the driver side vents. I took off the glovebox, and looked at the blower motor which is working fine. But somehow the air isnt getting to me. What do you guys think is going on? A jam in the vents somewhere? Is there a way to fix it? Has anybody else had this problem? Thanks for your help. |

I have a sony head unit laying around (and some speakers) from my last car and I was just wondering if anyone has ever made a car cd player into something that you can plug into the wall and use for a home stereo. I'm pretty sure its possible. Any specifics I could get like a how-to, or a link would be great. I wanted to post this in the wiring forum of 6gc, but I thought it was too off topic. thanks! |

I bent one of my stock rims and Discount Tire said that they cant fix a bend in an aluminum rim. I got some aftermarket rims instead of buying a new stock one. If you are interested though, I have some stock rims I'd be willing to let go. I just got to thinking, and I think that STs come with 14" and my car had the 15" BBS stock rims... I'm not sure if thats right or not. |

I took it to get the tranny fluid filled up, and it seemed to work a lot better after, and it didnt fall out. But the bad news is the guy who changed it said it was so low because there was a major leak in it. In one of the seals, so now its in the shop and its getting looked at. I hope this turns out ok, and its not that the tranny needs to be replaced. Thanks for your help guys. |

Hi guys, I've been having a problem with my car lately. It shifts into every gear just fine. And it will stay in every gear just like normal except for fifth. If I let my foot off the gas really quickly while I'm in fifth gear, it will fall out of gear and go into neutral. If I keep pressure on the gas pedal, or let of the gas slowly when I want to slow down, it will stay in fifth just fine. I have heard that this might be because I have low transmission fluid, which is entirely possible because I have never checked it or had it flushed, and I'm not sure if the owner before me did. I've also heard that it may be a synchro in the tranny. Please let me know what you guys think. Thanks very much! |

Hi guys, My check engine light came on today, and I think I might be low on engine coolant (I cant see any in the overflow). Do you guys use the orange kind or green kind?... Specific brands? The only thing I know is its not supposed to be alcohol based. I read the manual but I just want to make sure I'm right. Please let me know. -Thanks very much |

Ok, thank you very much, I'll give it a shot later today. About the tire problem, I've been asking around and lots of people are telling me that its probably just a bad/defective tire. I have the warranty at discount tire, so I am going to call and see if they will replace it. For the camber thing... Do I just need an alignment, or how do I fix that? Anyways, that leaves the SRI. I have noticed that some people just plug the hole that I have the hose going to. Should I do that too? |

Ok, I have my plugs and pcv valve. I have a couple of new questions though. 1. Is there a "how to" on changing plugs? If not can someone just give me a quick run down? I take the wires off, and a huge tube comes out... whats next? Do you loosen the hex head and take it out after you pull the tube out?haha (Sorry, I've never done this before on my car. ) Everyone has to start somewhere right? haha 2. What are the plugs supposed to be gapped to? Also, I figured since I was asking all these questions, I'd ask more. 4. I hooked up my sri before I was on the site, and I am wondering if I hooked it up correctly now. Can someone tell me if there is a better way of doing this? 5. All of my tires are wearing evenly except, my right rear is bald... why would that be? Do I need an alignment? ^^ Right Front ^^ Right rear (problem tire) sorry about the dirty car... dirt roads suck. Any help is greatly appreciated -Thanks |

I have no idea how mine got switched in the first place nevermind lol |

I have no idea. haha But the nearest toyota dealership is about 30 miles away (maybe more) so its more of a pain to go there, than to buy something off the internet. I've never gotten anything from the dealership. www.toyotaworld.com WHOA! Thanks man. I really had no idea that that site existed. SWEET! Do they accept Paypal? Are those prices with shipping included? Hmmm... I'm getting a server error when I go to the site... OooOO and they want a credit card... not good. I dont have one. |
