Hello Celica owners Maybe some of you remember me. I'm European, from Spain and, I race in Rallys with my Celica ST202 I'd like to visit the south of USA this summer, but my friends don't want to go there. They prefer to go to Maldives Islands (not bad, but I quit surfing some years ago) Spending the holidays alone is not a good plan. Maybe some of you don't know what to do this summer and want to go with me to visit some places in the South of USA. I'd like to visit Orlando and the theme parks there, Miami, San Francisco, Las Vegas, L.A. ... I can be there about 28th of july or first of august until 15th of august. I know there are a lot of miles from coast to coast. Maybe one part could be on a rented car and the other by plane. I've heard that domestic flights there are pretty cheap. But if someone wants to do a crazy roadtrip... NO PROBLEM! If someone want to go with me in this adventure, please contact me here or at otes3000@hotmail.com These days I'm not ussing messenguer because I don't have internet on my beach house and I'm only connecting at the office. Some things about me. I'm 28 years old, I work as an executive on a TV Channel here in Spain, and I'm a very normal person. Funny, extrovert... no problem to spend time with me, I think I've been twice at your country. First time I was learning english living with a family in New Jersey and the second time I was improving my english working at a Six Flags in Chicago, two months in a summer. Talking about money. I can adapt myself to any situation. I can spend the holidays in good Hotels (not 500$ night hotels that would be too mutch) or try to save money with cheap hotels, it depends of what you prefer. Regards Gabriel Sorry, I wanted to post this in OFF-Topic but I mistaked it. Can someone move it there? Thanks |

QUOTE(daazndood @ May 5, 2007 - 6:08 AM) wait, i thought FWD was a bad idea for rally cuz of the understeering and all? u drive good though In the world rally championship, there are some times that FWD go faster than AWD. If there is good asphalt and dry conditions can happen. If it's raining or slippery roads, AWD usually win. QUOTE(manphibian @ May 5, 2007 - 8:09 AM) Awesome work! Any plans to race in the UK? No, just Spain. No money for that QUOTE(6strngs @ May 5, 2007 - 10:18 AM) QUOTE(daazndood @ May 5, 2007 - 4:08 AM) wait, i thought FWD was a bad idea for rally cuz of the understeering and all? u drive good though I'm pretty sure there are two divisions of rally, FWD and AWD. so, if you're driving a FWD car then you're only racing other FWD cars. Here in Spain the divisions go different. My division is from 1.600cc to 2.000cc, it doesn't care if your car is FWD, AWD, or RWD |

I do love 6G Celica very mutch. But I also love many other cars. I've have had other celica 5 years ago, but now I just have it for rally racing and for "everyday" I got these two: Peugeot 206CC. I think you don't have this in USA. It's also coupe and cabrio And my machine: Saab 9-5 250hp AERO |

QUOTE(6strngs @ May 2, 2007 - 11:37 PM) Yes, we used it too mutch We broke the rear bumper. We use the hand brake in all the corners like that. It can be about 12 or 15 times every stage. 5 or 6 times in the rally it didn't go perfect, like in that video I don't know what brand it is, because it came with the car. It's just a skirt that goes below the original bumper. Now we have taken it off because you can't use it for racing. It's very easy to brake. |

QUOTE(CelicaGT04 @ Apr 7, 2007 - 12:22 PM) OTES keep up the good work Amigo. Tu carro es my bonita (a little sketchy on my spanish but still good none the less) Nice we don't use carro for calling a car, it comes from middle-south america. We say "Tu coche es muy bonito" Besides this, you should've said bonito instead of bonita. I imagine that when I write in english is worst than your spanish Thanks for the support! QUOTE(o0black0o @ Apr 5, 2007 - 9:28 AM) I watch Rally Runs on my Direct TV all the time. Ive seem your car a few times. You've gotten some bad ass runs. Keep up the great work, hopfully you'll get with the big boys one day I don't know if I understand that ok. You mean that you have seen my own car on TV? Where? Or you mean one like mine. Thanks a lot |

I say everybody that is not a gt-four, so I don't care. I know that your car is better than mine, but why you care? Why you care my car ? I didn't ever think my car is better than yours, nor I never said this. Simply yours is not a GT-four, and you don't want people/spectators to think it is when you're making a rally race. I know that it's not a painted sign, but your car was completely re-painted... and when it was there you could spend 1 euro of paste to cover the sign... but you didn't... Moreover you left the sign in black on the orange support, so it is more evident ! BTW, this is not my own business, and you, obviously, are free to do what you want, and you did. No problem. I wanted to paint it on the same colour, but the advertiser said he liked it more like that, so if he pays he decides This saturday I'm racing again on a very difficult rally, I'll post new images then. |

And I answered that celicaspain is a good forum, but this is the best 6G Celica forum I know. It's a pity that 3SGE was never sold in the USA, so you don't know as much of this engine as you know about other engines. Wolf, the support came with that, I can't remove it becouse is not painted. Hello people. I'll try to answer your questions. I don't really have much time and my english is not perfect. First of everything. My car is a ST202 3SGE with 175 horse power. I'd prefer the GT-4 but in Spain was never sold, so it's expensive to get one. And i'd really be a pity use that car for rallying When you race in rallys, you have to ask to the FIA (Federación Internacional de Automovilismo) the homologation card of your car. In that card says everything that you can fit on it, and what´s not on that card, you can't use. So I can't touch the engine. Just use a direct admission filter, a direct exhaust system and less else. For example, I can't fit a turbo. The crash was nothing. It's normal when racing. We were 131 cars and about 60 had crashed or touched something. On the race we had two small crashes. First we were going downhill really fast and I couldn't stop the car. I saw that I wasn't able to do the corner, so I tryed to drift but I crashed a car tha was on the side of the roda. Many people had to ran and escape from us. The second time was what you see on the pictures. There was a lot of mud, so we side-crash, but that was nothing. About 50 cars went out there The tuning of the car is just K-Sport coilovers, TRD ceramic clutch, CSC exhaust system, direct cat-back, K-sport 8 piston brakes and everything you need for racing, like the seats, fire kit, roll bars and all that staff. Someont asked how I got the advertiser. I work as a businessman on one of the main TV Channels in Spain and I know a lot of people in important companies. I'll try to have time to answer your questions. Here you have a picture of the crash |

Hello people. I'm going to race next year with my Celica in Rallys and I need many parts. I't very difficult to find 6Gen Celicas in the scrapyards of Spain, but easy to find 5Gen. My car is a ST202 with engine 3SGE. Do you know what parts fron 5 gen I can fit on my 6 gen? I need things that are common to break in a rally, like cooler (radiator is the word in Spain), engine, gearbox, electric windows motor, and all of these that I don't know the word in englisho so I put a picture I give you a pair of bonus pictures of the car now. We're starting to race in march. Thanks a lot! |

Can you tell if you've had any problem with your cars? On my ex 5SFE I did 90.000 miles and I had to open the engine once to fix some thing that I don't kow the word in english and repairing the gearbox another time. Besides this changing the clutch, braking discs... |
