Hey everyone,

I just lowered my 94 GT HB, put some super cheap coilover springs. A couple problems I am having.

1. When I drive over a bump, it makes a loud slamming noise (I am NOT bottoming out). When my friend installed for me, I think he ripped out the bump stops, could this be the problem?

2. When I turn the wheel all the way to one side it will make a spring popping noise, same thing when I turn it back the opposite directions. I am guessing this problem will be fixed once I get allignment fixed.

I do not think these problems are coming from the springs, as I know a couple other people who have these same springs and are not having these issues at all. A bouncy ride is fine with me, but a minor bump or pot hole sounds like a cherry bomb has gone off under the hood.

FYI I do not know much about cars, just basics, so any input would be much appreciated.

alright thanks everyone. my friend has a dmm but we couldnt find it so when we find it (tomorrow hopefully) that is when we will work on the amp settings.

so about the volume thing... my deck goes up to 62. so you are saying that if i want to be safe and avoid clipping, then i dont turn it above ~49? sounds hard, haha i usually listen to my music at about 58. would it be possible to turn the volume up to 58, and then set the gain?

mystify... thanks for the info. im using a standard box, that i got for 40 bucks from circuit city. When im using the dmm, what should i be playing in the deck? how many hz?

what about the bass adjustment on the amp? and the subsonic? what should i do with those?

well i rewired my subs to parallel... so i get 1Ohm and WOW, it sounds MUCH better.. after i set the gain to the correct spot and my watts are at 700 rms... what about the bass adjustment and everything? will that affect watts? if not, then what is the reason for me not turning it up all the way? the subs can still blow from that correct? and also, when i turn up the volume on the deck, that will give off more watts correct?

thanks, also alex-uksc... i didnt read your reply until after i hooked it up, and i when was adjusting the settings on the amp i had the volume up almost all the way for a good hour or so. what are the chances of them getting messed up from that? and there also was a point where the amp had shut off and we turned off the car and turned it back on and it was working fine, could that have been from something? is there a way to tell if i did something to the subs?

ohms... what are they? are more ohms better or are less ohms better?

i dont know much about sound systems, so i need some help. right now i have a hifonics amp and 2 jl 12w0. but i blew the subs, and tomorrow i am getting 2 jl 12w3v2-4ohm and i REALLY do not want to blow those, so how can i adjust the amp so the subs wont blow?

well like i sed, the light in my car wasnt working, so it couldve been orangish red hahaha. yeah but it said acc power. so what can the problem be? i know that when the two wires werent touching, my light didnt work at all. and also my clock resets and my deck resets to the normal equalizer and everything

well my orange wire that says acc power and the yellow wire that says memory wire are together, but my friend said if they are not together then the deck will not turn on.

i just got a new deck with a separate screen, and i guess my friend messed up when he was wiring it and now my clock in my car resets everytime i turn off the car and my lights dont turn on when i open the doors unless the key is turned. other than that, the deck and screen work fine. any suggestions?

does nobody look on ebay? they have some stuff worth buyin on there including hoods, kits, and even fenders. im buying my c-one front from boosted as well. im buying a full kit, so im not sure how much for just the front. but i know that on ebay they are selling the front with some ugly side skirts and an ugly rear for pretty damn cheap. i think the price for the entire kit on ebay (c-one front, ugly sides and rear) after shipping, is the same price as a c-one front from boosted. also i need to know what to do with the turn signals as well. how many people have the c-one front? i know there are a few, so they should know what to do.

im looking for amber fog lights but cant find em for 6gc. i have the c-one knockoff front bumper... ne one know what will fit on that?

thanks, i went to auto zone and they let me take it outside and use it real quick, it was pretty easy. yeah there are still creases. im still gonna have to take out the inside panel. can anyone tell me how to do that?

i cant find my ruler or my camera but its about 6 or 7 inches wide and it starts about an inch above the top pin stripe and ends 2 inches below the little side guard thing. so id say approximately a foot long.

nope i dont know how to remove it, help me out? ill go take some pics.

hmm, thanks alot. do u think the pops-a-dent would work? i would try the rubber mallet thing buuuuut... its a bit high up there. its about level with the door handle. do u think it would still work?

my car got kicked, how do i fix a BIG DENT behind the passenger door, the size of a foot. can i just pop it out? its a pretty clean dent except the paint chipped at the top. i know i cant just buy the part because thats the actual body right there.

here in cali you see either bad or good cops. but just by the way they were talking to me and trying to pin me for something like that already told me what they were up to. i knew a few of them from other **** that has happened and some of them dont do their just as well as the others. i saw one of them that i knew and he helped me graduate from high school. he worked at the continuation high school i went to, i got suspended for not showing up so hed give me rides in the morning because i had no way of getting there. i respect cops, they deserve it. but you have to give respect to get respect. where i live, this **** is a daily thing and the only reason why i started giving them an attitude in the first place is because i knew what he was tryin to do. they just saw 4 bald filipinos in a car... then they started looking around and noticed i had no front license plate. all i wanted to do was just tell them that we were meeting up because it was close to where the females lived and we were gonna go somewhere afterward but they kept us there.

If I was a cop I would have torned the seats up ripped the door trims off, smased the glove box, torn as much stuff as I can from the engine bay, and slasehd the tires TO look for drugs.

the first time when i was hastled by a cop they said someone robbed a ross down the street and it looked just like me and i was only 13. they were searching me and talking **** to me at the same time and i still held my tounge. they told me to assume the position and i didnt know what the hell the position was so they forced me into the position, then forced me onto their car. they ended up bringing me down to juvy and having my uncle come and get me. then when i got home and i got my ass beat down because my uncle had to get his ass up and get me. all i did was go to lollicup to get some boba.

id say since its a temp job, its no big deal unless you have a chance to become permanent.

also, maybe u should start looking for another job before you quit. or maybe you can turn in your two week notice and start looking and by the time you find one, you have another job.
