self destruct button. be careful.

Must be one of the japanese options, maybe weather alert or something. like RDS in the usa.

I was hoping the ejector seat option, or maybe missiles (rear facing obviously as "the car in front is always a Toyota"

So I hit 200,000 today, and then some. So besides the fact that the motor, transmission, suspension, interior, paint and wheels don't have it, the rest does wink.gif

15 years and 240000km no engine work except for timing belts - Celica's are bullet proof.

I think it might be the Band button, which changes the radio from FM band to AM band. 1600 is just a frequency, you should be able to change that with the tune buttons.

Thanks for the reply, I thought of AM/FM first but the tuning buttons don't change the 1600 at all.

Hi There,

I have had a 1994 gen 6 for the last 6 years and there is one button on the stereo that I can't figure out. The car is a japanese import with the original double din CD/Tape/Radio. The button has some arcs on it going from small to big something like this )))). When you press the button there is a buzzing sound from the speakers and the display says 1600, no other button does anything while this is on and you need to press it again to clear it.

I hope someone can help, as after 6 years I know the car inside and out.................except for the mystery button........
