Still keeping Celica, but want to shed a few things to support new toy - V6 Accord. Anyways, have a few rare, awesome items to offer (see pics below):

1. TRD 3-pt Front Strut Tower Brace - purchased of course used in 2007 and have had in car for 20K+ miles. The below pics are from first installation and only a few small paint chips present from the most attractive part of the brace - the top of the long, thick bar going accross engine. I do not have current pics, but it has since developed a line of several minor chips (less than 1/4" chips), except the small one near the oil fill cap (in below pics) has grown to about dime size. I can also see chipping running along the underside of the bar, but you have to duck down to see it. This is all normal from a 10+ year old used part, that is painted and exposed to high temperatures and elements during driving (chipping paint). Nonetheless, it still is in very good condition (no dents or dings) despite the chipping, and I can provide current pics if desired.
$230 SHIPPED within lower 48 States only. Compare to: Ebay TRD Strut Bar Offer

2. 96+ OEM Side Skirts for Hatchback - Bought in 2008 from member that had white car he took them off of. I never installed them on my car, but started to sand them down, but did not get far. They have no cracks or holes, but need prepping for next application. PLUS, I purchased and will include the screws, grommets, and clips needed (per the linked how-to post) to install on a 94-95 Celica...a real time and money saver. Side Skirt Installation
$200 SHIPPED within lower 48 States.

3. Used (slightly) JDM SW20 MR2 ST205 Celica 98 Spec Shift Knob - purchased in 2007, but shows no wear, esp. since I have only used it for a little over 20K miles, and car has been driven mostly highway. This is a pretty rare item too is same shape as stock, BUT Leather and Red Stitched!!.
$100 SHIPPED within lower 48. Compare to: Ebay MR2 Shift Knob Offer

I will accept payment via Paypal only, and will ship once payment has cleared. If item is lost or damaged in shipment, we can do refund or adjusment. Thanks.

Man, you own a GT-4, enough said. You could have put 15" steel wheels on it, and I still would drool over the car wink.gif

those splitters are not too aggressive so you can kind of get away with it, but the skirts would make it SOOO much nicer, as well as rear extentions

wheels look nice

Thanks man. Not sure if it is clear in the pics, but I do have the rear extensions on. smile.gif

Yeah, It sounds like you have just put as much money into that car than it is worth retail, and prolly nervous about driving it almost daily. Could you just make it a weekend driver, or "show car"? Since you are trying to make it magazine worthy, seems like you are almost there.

Thanks for taking a peek. One other thing I wanted to ask...looking at my pictures, do you REALLY think the car looks that bad with JUST the splitters and no sideskirts on?? I know it seems like a "no no", but I still think it does not look horrible. wink.gif

FINALLY, after 9 years of rolling on 15" quality Mille Miglia Evos, on two different 6th Gens (see profile), I treated myself to another fine Italian-made (not made in China thank god) rim, the O.Z. Palladios in 17" size. Yes, they are not quite performance or racing due to sort of weighty, but they are definitelty HOTT IMO. I've conceded that I am not doing any engine swap and turbo, so I'm fine with it. And I know I only have the splitters on, but I do have OEM sideskirts chillin in the garage, but they are on hold till I repaint the car in a year or two. Finally, I did go up a little on the tire size instead of what Tirerack recommends, so I got 215/45s instead of the proper plus up - 215/40s. I do plan to get my speedometer recalibrated. I think I am doing about 4 mph faster than the speedometer says at 60 mph. I've gone from one mile marker to the other in about 55-56 seconds at 60 mph.

Glad to be posting on here again. I became a new daddy at the end of 2008, so Celica has not got much attention till now, but still in the game of course!

Enjoy the pics! P.S. Also repainted calipers to, which I can see a lot more now with the bigger wheels!

I would just about agree with it being one of the fastest cars on the island. I spent my honeymoon in Aruba, and it is a beautiful island, but most drive small cars like Yaris' and stuff. A lot of the roads are single lane, and when I saw some guy "hot rodding" in Mustang 5.0 modded I got excited lol.

I think we were all hoping it might be some rims or lowering springs. But perhaps it will come in time for you.

a few pics

this is step one.

So, if this is step one, I'm guessing step two is the engine swap??? I mean, we all know you skipped out on the turbo idea, and I think your exterior is pretty complete now. What's up??

Very nice. Has a real stealth look to it with the black tint, black rims, and no spoiler. I would not mess with it if I was rollin' on the streets!

Wow, someone REALLY did not take care of that car! Good luck on the project fix up. We all know you can do it and get good deals on stuff through your Toyota dealer.

Awesome! Of all the convertibles on the road out there, they pick the 6th Gen as the example picture? It must be a legend then!

You fall into the trap that most people do, thinking that BHP is what makes a car feel fast. It isn't, it's Torque that makes a car feel like it accelerating fast, even if it isn't.

We have TDCI Ford Mondeo estates at work (turbo diesel station wagons), and they feel quicker accelerating than my Gt, because they have loads more torque. But if you actually look at the 0-60's, the celica is about 2 seconds faster.

It's the torque that you're addicted to, as that's the thing that pushes you back in the seat, even if you're not getting to 60 any quicker.

If that makes any sense? kindasad.gif

I have looked on torques and... see numbers:

Euro ST: 154Nm
Euro GT: 186Nm
JDM SS-II: 216Nm

my baby: 225/296Nm

so even low boost is more than 3SGE beams... That makes sense a damn lot now!

note: stock GT-four has 304Nm... but because it's for (about) 200kg heavier... who knows wink.gif

Can someone convert this to US nomenclature, ie Horsepower (HP)?
