Make sure u flush and check the rest of the cooling system. Celicas have a bad habit of having the fans fail. Make sure all of your sensors are ok because the 5sfe doesn't take overheating well at all.

Thanks

I am new to celicas. I just bought my first one a 95 gt hatchback with 5spd and the 2.2l motor with 123,000 miles on it. I got the timing belt changed along with water pump cam and crankshaft seals changed after i bought and the valve cover gasket replaced and new cv axle. My question is what else do i need to look out for i want to keep this car for a while. I have seen a couple post about heads gaskets going bad on these motors is this a common problem if so around what milage do they normaly go out. Also saw small amount of oil around the oil filter seems to be coming from the metal piece that connects the motor to the filter any help would be great thanks
