Im looking to buy a 6th gen celica around tax time this year. Im looking to spend no more than $2000 on the car. Car must be drivable and only for sale around the North Carolina area(nc,tn,sc,ga,va,wva, and maybe fla) Must have pics of the car and any damage on the car. I will consider any type of celica... coupe/hatch/convertable, gt/st, stick/auto. Im not picky as long as the car runs great and i dont have to spend a lot of money to fix it when i get it home!!!!!

Does anybody know what could be making a hissing sound from the rear of my car. Its not the tires, or exhaust, but cant pinpoint the exact spot. Its not making problems with the car but it bothers me.

ok im still learning about the gt-4 motors but how did a 600bhp gt4 beat a 1020hp supra? is there a difference between the bhp and hp or is it that the gt4 is just plain faster and better?

HA HA... i bought the same sh** from the same guy. if you even think about keeping it on there then ur going to have a bigger problem than sucking in hotter air than a short ram. First off.... the couplers arent even heat resistant to the motor heat and will come off no matter how tight you screw it on. 2nd... When it does fall off( and it will) watch out for the cars behind you cause it will cause a law suit for you when it hits a beemer like the one i bought did. Do your self a favor and buy either a Dr.cai intake or make one like the one thats in the how to section of this site. But anyways good luck with that intake. i just built mine and ive seen the increase. Combine the cold air with new iridium ngk's and you will notice the power change.

Ok here my problem. i had my motor replaces last year by my mechanic and the car did great till a few weeks ago. i swerved to keep from totaling my car and heard a loud snap. i looked and didnt see anything wrong. on the way home i heard a loud metal to metal scraping noise. when i got home i looked and saw my motor mount was bent into the timing belt cover. i took it to my mechanic to fix it and he said that the bolt had vibrated out(never heard of that happening). Anyway the car has run great for a while till last night. i went to check my oil and noticed that i had belt shavings all over my engine compartment. i decided to play mechanic and see if the mount was broke inside the motor.


What i find is that the middle of my timing belt is being torn apart...not the outsides of the belt .....the middle. Then i take off the cover and see that there is only one....ONE... bolt holding the motor and its not even screwed into the motor... its just hanging there wiggling. Then to make matters worse... there is one bolt completly missing and the other is broke off into the motor and the head of the bolt is whats cutting my timing belt in half. Can anyone help me ant tell me what size the motor mount bolts are for my st. and if there is any way to put them back in without taking out the motor at all.

i need to find a passenger side motor mount in good condition. Its the one thats connected to where the timing belt is. If you have a spare on give me a price on it. It needs to be for a st model. 1.8 7afe

check the rings. mine was leaking past the rings but no sign of oil burning. Only found out the rings were fried when i desided to disect the engine myself.

mine did the same thing that urs is doing. it would never give an accurate reading so i didnt worry about it cause my car wasnt acting funny at all. Exactly one week after i bought my celica i blew the motor cause it over heated. Id get it fixed fast

depends on my mood but if im out loking for a race im normally playing mudvayne or slipknot. get me in the mood to race. but if im driving then whatever is easier to get to first. its usually adema, korn, godsmack, flaw,.... u get the idea
