U sorted out the rear splitter yet m8 ??

have u got any links to some picys for the rear splitter im thinking about getting the same setup as u but not got a clue what the rear would look like...

Cheers Kevstir

My rear splitter is all sprayed and ready to fit. I’ve had to have the tailpipe moved to the right by a few inches, so it will line properly with the new piece. Cars back in the bodyshop for the final fitting on the 22nd of this month. Will post pics as soon as.

I'm getting that front splitter at the end of the month, Toyota quoted
me £120 exc VAT, what did you pay? It's supposed to be made from a
rubberised compound, not fibre glass, can you confirm this.

Paid roughly the same. Didn’t take much notice of what it was made of, its certainly flexible though.

If your car is lowered, you will need to keep a close eye on the road. The gap from the ground to the botton of the splitter is very small wink.gif Looks the danglies though.

So many questions biggrin.gif

Akimbo
Got the blocks from a UK supplier - Fensport - you need to look in the GT4 section.

RedSunCelica
Bought the parts from my local Toyota dealership. Think the parts ended up coming from Japan, Belguim and here in the UK. In all, it took about a month for everything to arrive.

Drocay
The splitter cost about £150 (approx $177).

macavely
Can’t think of anything more to do to it. I’ve never wanted to go extreme in power or looks cos I use this car everyday. I’ve also spent loads on it including: custom CAI, custom S/S exhaust, custom de-cat pipe, wheels, shocks & springs, front grooved discs & sport brake pads, tints, Alpine ICE etc. All I’ll probably be doing now is maintain it. I plan to keep the car another two years, then I’ll be moving over to the Nissan camp, next car - 350Z! bowdown.gif

Also, JonboyGB, are those side skirts parts that are from Toyota? I've never seen them before.

Yes mate, all the part numbers are from Toyota.

35mm....metric....1.5 inches, man that was hard biggrin.gif

Don't you need a whole bunch of parts to attach those side skirts though?

Bought the kit direct from Toyota. All the extra bits you need to fix it to the car are supplied. The body bits also come ready primered!

cheers for comments guys biggrin.gif

The splitter and skirts are all Toyota parts:

Front splitter: TPZ402-14440-AB
Side skirts: TPZ402-14480-AB
Rear skirt: TPZ402-14460-AB (to be installed)

The car is dropped by 35mm all round on Eibach Pro-kit springs. I have to keep an eye on the road for unusal dips cos the front splitter is very low. I scraped it twice already, but you can’t tell cos its underneath - phew!

I’ve also got a rear skirt to go on, but I need to get my 6inch tailpipe moved to the right a bit so it will all fit nicely. Will post pics of its arse as soon as this is done. biggrin.gif

shame about the lack of GT4s m8.

a great way to get your motor running smooth and a bit more punch, is a custom CAI.

got mine made locally, no doubt someone near you could fabricate one.

GT is good but I would really love to convert my car to GT-4 like neverstop did. It would be kinda weird too, cause his name is matt my name is matt he has a 98 hatch gt so do I and we both live in iowa.

would it not be easier to just get a GT4, or are they not available in the states?

I'm looking forward to seeing the results for this poll. I expect there to be more STs than any other. Which would be interesting as over here in the UK at www.celica-club.co.uk the GT is much more popular.

Was it on stock height or lowered? I was thinking of 19's

I was reading in a Jap Performance mag the other month about a Celica down in Australia. The guy had put 20" rims on!!!! He did have to sort out the suspension and roll the arches a bit, but it looked great.

Strut braces are great.

I've replaced the standard Toyota one from the front with a TRD triangular brace. In the rear, I've got the ST205s brace.

The front brace made the most difference, great on the bends. The rear just seemed to tidy up any last bit of roll the car had.

Altogether, brilliant. Installation only takes a couple of minutes and is will worth doing.
