After about 2 years, moved the car from my dad's place to a friend's shop so we can start working on it again. Hopefully it runs again by year's end....maybe....

This is essentially a crummy Ford that will collect dust in my garage. We all know I’ll drive it for about a day, keep it maybe 7 years or so, then sell it.

i have the ECUMasters DET3 with the built-in 4-bar map sensor. Ran it on my supra for the last 4 years before I went standalone with their EMU Black cuz I wanted to run flex fuel.

Uhh....car is still on jack stands. Not much progress. Gonna move it to my dad's for storage for the time being so I can move the Supra back into my garage.

Speaking of Supra, spent the last 4 months getting it together with the standalone, cams, fuel, etc. Made 647whp & 527wtq @ 25.5 PSI on E80 and 459whp & 447wtq @ 16 PSI on 93 pump gas. Been fun driving the car for a few days before I got deported to Oklahoma for work for the last 2 weeks. Still got a couple of things left to tweak on it per my tuner, but should be solid now.

Definitely not a good situation for a lot of people. I myself lost power for a little over an hour (but I got other thoughts about that situation, & we'll save those for another time & place).

Yeah if you can't get from one side of the city to the other in 20min it's either because you hit ALL the red lights or a crash causing traffic to back-up. LOL.

If you're in the area again, hit me up. I'll try my best to show you around.
Of course that offer extends to anyone.

I stumbled into downtown without knowing it. only give-away were the parking meters. lol The duck-fat fries from Block 16 was probably my absolute favorite thing I found in Omaha. lol

I'm looking for another job as it is because management & company ownership here is probably the worst I've ever worked for thus far, so I doubt i'll be up there again, but in the weird off-chance that I do get deported back up there in the mean time, I'll holler. I know the next project they're sending us off to in about April is to Chicago.

I was just in Omaha, too. lol Glad I missed that week of freezing cold and had to deal with it here at home.

But it almost sounds like, down there didn't fair so well, lol.
What were you in Omaha for?

I just might drive it this week & not give a f*ck.

yeah. it sucked for a lot of people. a friend of mine was without power for 91 hours only to find out that a tree had fallen on one of the power lines. There's still a lot of homes without running water. We're getting there though. A lot of the electricity providers are scrambling right now trying to figure out how to manage the rates and future prepping.

Was up there for a total of 2 weeks for work. Small town. lol

Here's a video of it coughing.

I just set the timing to 0 via the standalone and confirmed with the timing light and still not getting anywhere.

Starter works and all that.

What's a good website to host videos that this forum will accept?

Got IAT, Fuel pressure, Oil Pressure, wideband, and Flex fuel to read correctly after Scott sent me how he wired up the auxiliary harness.

car still won't crank, so I guess we'll continue to look into that... :\

Over Turkey Day weekend, some friends came over to help out and double check to make sure timing belt and crank was all lined up properly. Still no dice.

however, i did notice that the pins for power and ground for the oil pressure and fuel pressures sensors were flipped on their connectors. Corrected them and then started to fiddle with the analog input in the PCLink software and managed to pick up Oil Pressure on Analog 4, so making some progress.

My IAT is still reading -40C for whatever reason. Aaron is saying that's because there's a bad connection somewhere. Part of me thinks I just have the 2 wires swapped out. I'll fiddle with it some more tomorrow when I have time.

or move to Texas and pay someone $80 to pass it unless it's at least 25 years old. Then it's just $12.

got lazy yesterday and didn't do anything except binge season 7 of Agents of SHIELD.

Today, put some time into the car and got the lower timing cover on along with the AC belt and the motor mount. Just need to tighten down the tensioner for the power steering pump and I think I can attempt to start the car again...maybe...

SitRep: Oil pan is officially resealed and bolted back to the block. Filled the motor with some Amsoil Engine Break-in oil and tested the pump again just to ensure it wasn't a fluke when I tested it before. Currently fighting the timing belt to get it back on, but I think I've picked up a trick to get it on based on some videos i've seen.

I guess tune in tomorrow to see what happens.

I recently bought a new tire for the donut spare in the Supra since the one that was in it had a gaping slash down the side. $113 shipped from TireRack. Didn't want to buy someone's old one cuz god knows how old that tire is and people would be asking $100 for it anyways, so buying a new one and getting it mounted was a no-brainer. I probably won't be using it anytime soon, but it's better to have it when I don't need it than not have it when I do need it.

Watching my friend mount the tire was pretty intense. lol

WE HAVE OIL PRESSURE!!

I've no idea what the **** it was that I did, but oil is flowing again. Essentially primed the pump with oil to test how the gear is working, slapped it on the block, ugga dugga the oil pick up to the pump, slapped the oil pan on, filled with break-in oil, disconnected the turbo oil feed line, and spun the oil pump gear and it started to bleed out. Plugged that line back and then pulled off the oil pressure gauge and spun the gear again to confirm. Oil bled out of there as well as did the oil filter.

Now I just gotta put this **** all back together again. I am not looking forward to that.

Should you drop the oil pan and check the oil pickup screen for blockage or the pan for poor clearance to the oil pickup?

did that a while ago and the pick up is clean. pan is undamaged, so there shouldn't be clearance issues. I think i'll order a new pick-up gasket from toyota and see if that fixes things.
