I'll probably end up doing that. Although I called them today and they said they could definitely do it, and it wouldn't be more than forty dollars. I'm almost ready to put in a new headset because I can't bring myself to pay $40 to have the freaking headset reset. |

If it was on the cd player that would be sweet! but I don't think it is. People have said that they've had to go to the dealer to get thier stereo reset. If it was on the cd player I think it would kinda defeat the purpose. I talked to the previous owner and she said she had the number at one point and she wasn't sure if she put it in the owners handbook or not. I never found it; oh well. Anyway, thanks for the reply |

I just purchased a 94 celica gt coupe, and I'm about to remove the stereo and everything else from the center console to get back to the heater system. I'm assuming the stereo is going to need the security code when I reinstall it, and the previous (1st) owner didn't have the code. I've talked to dealers and the central Toyota customer service department and I'm finding that the only way to get the code is to take the car into a dealership and have them reset the stereo. Has anyone found any other way of getting the code besides this? How much will it cost me to take it into a dealer? |
