I miss my 93 sc400. I did a complete black interior swap, bc coilovers, freshened up the steering components and all services. I have 99 gs400 as summer family car. Waiting to install my black interior, fresh headlights, tails and then the airlift system I just picked up from a fellow enthusiasts. Personally the 99 1uz feels snappier, vvti can be the reason. The 93 1uz is great if you wanna build it up for boost. Otherwise I truly enjoy the 99 more. To me, it's just the Look that matters. I got a daily i'm picking upon the 27th unless someone lists a running SC400 or Manual Z31/Z32 for <2600k before then. |

Took the fiancée to test drive a '97 SC400 at a "buy here pay here" lot, it was all original aside from the stereo but you could tell it has lived a rough life. Worn interior, heatshield and interior rattles, all electric motors were slow and catching(passenger mirror didn't work at all), clunky going into drive and reverse, needed brakes and suspension, door handle assembly wasn't smooth and hinges needed refurbished, etc... At least she knows she likes them now, so there's that. Going to find a GS400/430 so that she can decide between them. We also found out I don't like the Mustang clutch. Twofer. Fairly certain that the SC400 will be my choice but eh. |

Narrowed my next two cars down to three options SC400 for a manual swap and an M90 or M122 SC kit. MR-S for a K24/2zz swap 5/6GC for an eventual 3SGTE swap |

That awkward moment you're better off with the older technology. OK Boomer. Ok Grandma, let's get you to bed. It's bad because I'm usually asleep before she is by about 30 minutes. It's never easy losing those you love, even if they're not people. Hmm... that could be fun if she's not driven the Celica before! I was thinking about going out in the Miata just for the hell of it myself. You forget to pay your gay bills? Last I checked, you're stuck here forever with me. I get that, a car you're not familiar with can be unsettling. Which I'm having to readjust to the Miata's tendencies versus the Firebird, so it's been like "Woah, I can TURN again!" Ooh sounds good, I just had buttermilk waffles with honey. Stop complaining about power. Add boost. Be happy. -Lorelei "Gotta Go Fast" Moira |

I mean personally I'd be looking at mixing with a LWSP or SLWSP for that added film strength to cushion the gears from clashing on hard shifts. I can't figure out what trans is in her 91 Capri Turbo and how dissimilar it is to the the trans in your Miata but that extra fluid strength and stickiness of the oil made the synchro's work a lot lot better. I've driven it a few times before and after the oil change to the blend and it's night and day difference in how the gears just sink into place vs having the push them in and feel like the trans is fighting a bit. The OEM 5mt in the XR2 (Turbo) is either the G25MR or G5MR, depending on the year. The G5MR is the manual in the 91 Capri XR2 turbo. The F5MR is the one from the base model. -Lorelei "K swap it" Moira |

Anyway, Its true. I'm alive. I'm here to cause trouble for box and my adoptive family. God. Never thought I'd be so happy to have a family. Well, either way, I took something from Box today. I mean, I had to. I spilled lotion on it. |

God this is such a toss up. FD RX7 is the obvious choice for me, but for something obscurely beautiful its the Gumpert Apollo https://hips.hearstapps.com/roa.h-cdn.co |

HUZZAH MY LAPTOP IS REPAIRED! My Mushkin 480GB SSD was throwing a smart error about something failing for a long time but the terabytes written was way too low for that to be the case. Well it wasn't, it was feeling laggy then wouldn't open a folder, then failed to reboot. Kept timing out on one file during boot. Well ****. I got a 500GB Samsung 860 Evo a week ago to replace it with when I felt it acting a little funny and was going to be doing that this weekend. Last night I did it a day early. I was able to copy the home folder off and save all my stuff then cloned the 480GB drive to the 500GB drive and luckily Linux and EXT4 are robust enough that it cloned cleanly and booted up fine! No more Mushkin SSD for me I guess, trying to warranty it when the SMART error first cropped up was a nightmare, they didn't want to then they wanted to send me a worse product then they wanted me to pay up front and refund me once they verified it was bad, then I told them to screw off. I also re-applied thermal compound to the CPU while I was in there, it's made a big difference. The 5 year old Arctic Silver was all dried up and splotchy, put on some Kryonaut paste and my temps are back down a little but overall the fan runs less and spins slower to maintain the same temps, side affect the battery feels like it's lasting a little better as well. Erin is feeling much better, based on symptoms alone she had C19. She had two swab tests come back negative though which is odd but false negative swabs are somewhat common it seems, especially if the viral load is low or you're not moving it from the lungs to the sinuses through a lot of aspiration I guess. She's still getting an occasional tightness or pain in her chest and a moment of dizzy here and there but it's much improved. She's on some Prilosec for heart burn that got really bad, the doctor mentioned seeing that in some of her other patients that tested positive for C19. She's got an order in for an anti-body test in a couple weeks so we'll know then, probably? Well, My fingers are crossed. Cure the Symptoms, cure the disease, they say. |

So my dad has an older 5 series BMW and a Prius. The BMW was a gift from a friend. Its a early 2000s 540i. It could use some love. The Prius is an early second gen with a faulty battery pack (Shocking, right?) and my dad wanted me to fix it. If I agreed to fix it, I could move in and my issues with finding a warm, dry place to sleep would be over for some time. So my dad bought the parts and said I was going to do all the work. Turns out he doesn't have the tools and decided to let me stay anyway. I told him he should sell it for whatever its worth once its fixed. Maybe I'll be getting that 6gc sooner than I thought. Also, I moved out to Pittsburgh, Pa. I'd love to say hello to the locals when we can go back outside. |

Well, not sure if this is the place to put this, but I am moving to PA. It sucks and all that I'll be leaving the place I grew up, again, and most likely permanently, but it is a necessary move at this point. Ran out of luck locally after 4 months without a job, and I'm both maddened and sickened that I could not get a job, especially after sending out over 400 applications. On top of that, the people who nearly killed me on a bus will walk free because the court date got moved to 6/19 and I almost definitely won't be able to get back here for that. Looks like I've lost another opportunity, this one was a golden ticket. |

Sorry for going AWOL as hell, Things have been quickly falling apart. I'll be moving to a friend's house in PA because I still have not been able to get a job since 2020 rolled around originally. |
