Btw do you reckon the _ONLY_ difference about SS-II and SS-III is the superstrut suspension? I thought there was a hell of alot more than that, and SS-II was pretty much SS-I with 3S-GE? Or in other words, an SS-III with coilovers is simply no better than a lowered SS-II? Because I thought LSD & 2 pot brakes also pertained to SS-III, but you reckon you've got it too. My SS-III has the LSD but does not have 2 pot, just rather large single pots |

Picked up the new seals today, along with an overhead valve spring compressor. Getting my air compressor this weekend, should start teardown Sunday since my wife will be out of town and I can drive her car. Also got a can of Seafoam to run thru the motor afterwards to clean up any of the burnt-oil gunk. Will let you know how it goes! Anyone want some pics of how to do some of this stuff? Hellz yeah! +1000, why even ask! |

I can't read it clearly, but does that 600w PSU you have say it has a 35A 12V rail on it? That's pretty small. A Corsair 650W has a 52A rail. I didn't look at the case ahead of time to see that it was a small case. I understand about the heatsink now. I'm running a core 2 quad system, overclocked, with 4gb of ram, 3 hard drives and an 8800gts 640mb on a 500W enermax liberty with a single 32A 12v rail from 2005. Have NEVER had it kerplode on me. People with 700W+ power supplies without multi-gpu are wasting their money. He'll be fine methinks. This was my newbishness showing big time. There was an extra integrated cable on the PSU, what looked to be an 8 pin. I discounted it thinking it was redundant and my 24 pin was all that was needed. Upon closer inspection, the 8 pin was actually two connected 4 pins, and I hadn't connected the CPU power connector by the processor. lol my mate just built his first computer a fortnight ago and did the same thing. Lucky I was there to help or he'd have been pretty sad! |

Well, I'm going to see how the OB Graphics do first, and if the Blu-Ray playback suffers then I'm going to get a compatible Graphics card and do a crossfire setup. That should fix any issues. The graphics card doesn't do the blu-ray decoding unless it's a certain type and if you set it up like that, so you'll be running it off of your quad core instead. Which should handle it no worries if my 2 year old q6600 can do it fine . Although if it's anything like the 9400gt we have in our media pc here, the 3200 built in to your motherboard would be capable of offloading it (basing this on the fact that most mobos are bundled with 9400's, not too up with the ATi side of things at present) get a better PSU, the ones that come with cases are not very good usually. Generally true, but afaik Ultra PSU's are well regarded. |

they look good, but i definitely gotta give you some tips on iso, aperture and shutter. faves are the street style with the cap and the capri pants. Yeah...as a general rule when hand-holding you need to have a shutter speed equal or faster than 1 divided by your focal length. Eg. You're shooting a few of these at 54mm equiv. focal length, so you should be using at least a 1/54th(if it existed) shutter speed whilst you seem to have taken these all @ 1/6th (using shutter priority on a wrong setting I guess?) |

your car will not benefit from adding a spoiler in the 1/4. you are not getting near the trap speed to make it worth your money and the drag on the rear may either not do anything or actually make your times worse. use your money wiser and get something more useful like engine upgrades or drag radials/slicks. Isn't he saying that he's taking off the spoiler, not adding one? |

ohh stink, maybe we should have got your number? I know where abouts you where driving, I was quite surprised myself how close it is to houses. what did you think of the show, see the old school celica in the show and shine? post up some pics did you happen to see my celica it was quite close to the road I liked the show, didn't notice that celica though, gutted! Unless there was another red celica with front extensions then yes I did see it, quite nice . I also saw a familiar looking white celica that may have been from here, but it didn't have a personalised plate...was parked in the 'secure' parking near to the track 'pits'. A picture: and one for the old school toyota fans... |

So I get to the road the meeting place is supposedly on, drive from one side aaaaaaall the way to the other (quite far suprisingly) and then back again, and could not locate any form of toyota car or place (except for a 1980's corolla fx for sale on the side of a road next to a paddock ) so um yeah that was annoying. Ended up just going straight to the event, had some good fun, got some photos - hopefully some of which are good - so all in all not a complete fail of a day Ok so on consultation with a map, it appears there are two "Robert's Lines" basically. /me shakes fist at google maps directions |

Also has slot in the middle for credit cards etc. Got a photo of the ash-tray option? It's similar, just empty instead of with layers and such like yours. It also has that slot in it as well. Also has a flap on top and is made of the same kind of plastic as the rest of the car, whereas yours seems not to be, judging from that picture. |

The 4agZe, the Z signifies that it is supercharged. So it's the same block and such as the 4age. It's like 3sge and 3sgte You missed my point, but soulshadow got it |

does anyone have a picture of the air temperature thingy that goes into the stock airbox, i might be able to get my hands on one, but the person doesn't know what it is or what it looks like. I'll take one in the morning if nobody else supplies one before then, can't get my tripod in there with both cars in lol. |

pretty sure the HD failure isn't on them though...i think all those company's just outsource the HD(but they DID pick the company!!). come to think of it, I don't know what they really provide other than piecing it together. . . It's most likely to be either a Western Digital or Seagate drive, both incredibly well known and well thought of companys...it's unusual for a drive to die in such a time period (they either die after a week or two, or last a few years , you didn't drop it at any point did you? lol |

I really can't, I need take care of the condo first, then we'll see what I have left and if I can spare it. What I am seeing is ALOT of f4s for sale - but hardly any 2.8s. So I could get an f4L IS cheaper because they are abundant, but I just want the 2.8 really. Also: I fixed that first of the 3 photos the other day. I will have to post it here later. The f4 is so insanely sharp, however you do feel like a huge girl using it as it is like 2/3rds the size of the f2.8 |

As an aside, is this required only on USDM celicas? As my JDM one has said capability on the stock stitch from factory. |
