Hey fella - told you it wasn't that bad a job - looks like you did it well biggrin.gif

Mine (or should I say my old car - now sold) with the same treatment taken at JAE biggrin.gif

Given what a pain it is to get to the heater matrix I would be very surprised if they had checked it.

That accident damage certainly could have cracked the radiator.

QUOTE(Redline08 @ Aug 7, 2007 - 3:51 PM)

ok so that car is on 20s but it doesnt go anywhere, if he hits a bump hes screwed and he prolly cant turn for balls. The only way ive seen people fit 19s on a celica were when they cut the fenders, not to hard to do when your fitting in a body kit and painting the whole car like that guy did.

He does indeed drive it, over bumps as well - hundreds of miles sometimes to shows bumps and all.

It doesn't handle that well but then 17s/18s don't handle as well as 15s and most people fit them.

Looks like the standard body to me with minimal alteration apart from the bumpers, skirts and bonnet - I think he took the wheel arch liners out of the front though.

Oh and VISDEBOY - your right - his speedo is a mile out so he uses the GPS one on his satnav wink.gif

Sounds like your heater matrix is leaking if it's the passengers footwell. Not too bad a price on the part but it's a right faff to change frown.gif

QUOTE(Mang @ Aug 3, 2007 - 12:13 AM)

So what you are saying is that there is no reason to pay extra for the wrc version and get a RHD car when the difference are not that big!?

Personally I would go for the non WRC car - unless your going to wire up the extras then you may as well just got a normal GT4

QUOTE(Mang @ Aug 3, 2007 - 12:13 AM)

What about performence? I have heard the handling is really good bur what about engine and gearbox and so on?

Performance and handling is the same - it's not like the Gen 5 where you could run the CS/RC at higher boost more reliably.

QUOTE(Mang @ Aug 3, 2007 - 12:13 AM)

One little bird whispered in my ear that Toyotas gearbox is bad. Exactly what he meant I can not tell because he could not explain it. He is a audi-lover so it might have affected his judgment! wink.gif

Nothing wrong at all with the gearbox - known very few of them to go unless seriously abused. The only thing that does tend to happen is some shifter bushes split making your car have anywhere between 1 and 3 gears but they are easy enough to change wink.gif

Oh, and I forgot the main difference - they come with the WRC raiser blocks as well - but they are cheap enough to buy wink.gif

The WRC gets a bonnet spoiler, disconnected anti-lag and disconnected intercooler water spray - there may be more differences but that's the main ones I think wink.gif

The grey which you are referring to Dan came in after 97 on JDM Celicas - it's also when they added the dark metallic green wink.gif

Dark Grey Metallic 183
Dark Emerald Green 6M1

is anyone making this how to: make moulds and stuff still or is that a lost cause?

It's VSIDEBOY's birthday today so he's not about but I do happen to know he is flat out getting his car finished in time for the Italy meet - I'm sure he would help after that though wink.gif

Actually a cat can cause you to loose up to 10% of the power of a car. On some cars it is actually more environmentally sound not to have a cat and hence burn less fuel - unless you still press the loud pedal the same amount and just go faster of course wink.gif

My cat actually spit it's guts out and the car still passes UK emissions.

As for what VinceNoir said about UK rules - 92 if the car is listed in the EG database. If it is a JDM import it has different emissions equipment to the UK car and although the majority of MOT stations will MOT it as a UK GT you are perfectly within your rights to ask them to MOT it as a JDM SS-II up to August 95 - the SS-II won't be listed and so they only have to do a pre cat test which any celica not passing is in serious trouble given that my 1969 beetle passes it laugh.gif

It is indeed - came form Japan second hand but looking unused biggrin.gif

Got a video of it at idle now.

how much modification is needed to fit the ss3 front splitters on a pre-faced 94-95 front bumper???

Not much - just a little filing of the mounting holes wink.gif

Not a terribly good one and it was mid install so no accelerator pedal fitted - the drivers footrest is a Razo one as the original pedals were.

This is my new (to me anyway) RS*R - a pleasant burble at idle and unobtrusive till ACIS kicks in. The on the 3SGE it sounds like a Formula 1 car laugh.gif
