Ok so i have a 96 celica GT convertable, but i need a new top which would cost me like $2000, which i dont have to spend on a top right now. One of my friends has a Celica ST with no motor, so im just curious how easy it would be to swap my motor into the car. Any help or information is awesome thanks guys |

Dude when you get that car on the road, you are goin to have to drive down here to gastonia and let me see it one weekend and show it off a little bit, all my friends say 6gcs are a$$, they drive mustangs, and hondas. gah i wish i had that kind of money to do that to mine, hell i wish i had to money to get the shifter cables for my vert. ok i am having the same problem and it sucks really bad. i took the interior off today to check it out and it looks like the shifter cable (i guess thats what its called) where it meets the actual shifter at the bottom is twisted and when ever i turn it back to being striaght it just twist back. Im not sure if thats my problem or what but it just didnt look right to me so that was my first guess. I dont know a thing about transmissions so. |

Thanks guys for all ur informations and help so far. few things ive check a couple of shops around here and most want 1200-1500 to do it and i dont have that kind of money im 19 and my job sucks so there is no way i can do that. also i would just hold out on the top if it wasnt a must need but the back window is only being held on by like 3 or 4 inchs of material so thats not good and it leaks really bad. so im just gunna pay 400 for a new black top and try and put it on. thanks again guys |

Ok first im sorry if i posted this in the wrong spot and second im sorry if this is a repost but i couldn't find it any where. Im gettin a new black top really soon and i want to put it on myself because i dont have the money to fork out for a shop to do it but i need the new top ASAP because the one i have now is about to go it is leaking bad. I was just wondering if there was anyone who has done this them self or have any tips before i get started that could help. Thanks for you help |

yea from the way it looks the weather is going to continue to suck but hey maybe we can luck out. All things seem good with my celi for now, imma hopefully change the oil and plugs and wires friday. i should also be ordering the new vert top friday or so, but it sucks cuz it wont be on the car and i was hoping id have it by then but hey theres always the next meet. |

Bad news guys, my celi is dead for now and i have no idea whats wrong. she wont start up, shes turning over and every thing but i dont think im gettin a spark so i have no idea. But good news im goin to look at a white 94 so maybe by the time the meet roles around ill have 2 who knows. |
