when you do a compression test and it seems low try to pour some oil through the spark plug hole and test again, if it still leaks its the valves if not its the rings |

the main concern with the floor pan is for the fuel tank hitting the rear subframe if you place a race fuel tank mounted in the trunk it shouldn't be a problem. |

when you put your motor back in the car make sure you place the map sensor sitting up right with the vacuum port facing straight down it made a difference on my black top 20valve in my 85 corolla. it ran smoother |

you will not have to worry about a tunnel the celicas already have it. it the same under body as the gt4 w/ the exception of the rear trunk floor pan that's why if you convert to an all wheel drive from the gt4 the man thing you have to think about is the fuel tank. some people just use a fuel cell in the trunk. all the bolt holes are under the car already at least they are in my moms car. I was comparing it with the jdm gt4 at the house and everything seem to be there. so a rear wheel swap will be alittle easier just need to make sure the motor you choose to put in fit the engine bay and use the rear suspension and diff from the gt4. |

try changing the rubber grommets. when they get old they get dry and hard so they let the oil push through w/o sealing. plus you'll get a better look when you talk off your valve cover and while your at it change the rest of the valve cover gasket just make sure you get all the gaskets and seal/grommets that way you only have to open it up once. |
